Jennifer Lopez and actor-writer-director Ben Affleck, who tied the knot last month in an intimate Las Vegas ceremony at A Little White Wedding Chapel where an imposter of Elvis Presley officiated their wedding, officially walked down the aisle in the presence of family and friends during a weekend of festivities in Georgia.
A source shared that Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck had an extraordinary weekend of celebrations planned for the family members and friends who flew down to Georgia to be a part of their celebration, and their weekend festivities included a pre-wedding party, a ceremony, and a lot of fun. Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck were ecstatic that their loved ones were around them to celebrate their union of love, especially all of their kids since all of them could not be a part of their Las Vegas wedding.
The 87-acre estate of Ben Affleck on Hampton Island Preserve served as the venue for the 45-minute wedding service. For the occasion, Jennifer Lopez wore a unique Ralph Lauren gown with a striking design that included cap sleeves, an open-back cutout, and a flowing train with ruffle accents. The singer completed her stunning bridal look with a 20-foot-long, majestic cathedral-length veil that provided a regal touch to her appearance. Ben Affleck matched his bride's attire by donning a white tuxedo jacket, black pants, and a traditional bowtie.
A source shared that everyone was dressed in white, with most of the women donning white dresses and gowns and the men in white suits and mentioned that some men were dressed up in white shorts and sneakers while their dates were dressed in white fringe leather jackets and sparkly cowboy hats.
The wedding was planned by Colin Cowie and other guests, including Ben Affleck’s best friend Matt Damon and his wife Luciana Barroso, Kevin Smith with his wife Jennifer, Jason Mewes with wife Jordan Monsanto, Hollywood talent agent Patrick Whitesell with wife Pia Miller, Jimmy Kimmel, Jane Fonds, George Clooney, Renee Zellweger, etc., were among the ones who were a part of the celebration. Life coach, Jay Shetty officiated the Bennifer's Georgia wedding who also officiated Lily Collins and Charlie McDowell's marriage in September of the previous year.
The wedding was concluded with a lavish fireworks show, then on Sunday, before departing from Savannah's Perry Lane Hotel and heading home, guests were treated to a BBQ back at Affleck's 87-acre opulent estate. Emme, Jennifer's daughter, and Seraphina, the bride's new stepdaughter, twinned in trousers while assisting the bride with her 20-foot veil, which was a magnificent custom Ralph Lauren gown. Behind Seraphina and Emme, Violet looked stunning in an off-the-shoulder white dress with a tulle overlay and an A-line skirt. Max and Samuel donned gorgeous suits with Max adding a hat to compliment his outfit.
According to the source, Jennifer Lopez has become fond of Ben Affleck's children, whom he has with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner. All of the children appeared to be enjoying themselves at the wedding and get along really well but the insider clarified that Jennifer Lopez acknowledges that Jennifer Garner is their mother and maintains some limits, other than that the singer treats Ben's children as if they were her own. The source said that although all of Ben's children also get along really well with Jennifer Lopez and are mostly comfortable around her, but the singer has a unique relationship with Samuel since he is the youngest of the five and the baby of the group and was very young when his parents separated. The source further shared in April that the couple is very happy with the children and the family they have at the moment and are not looking forward to having their kid. They do not want any further children because they are both past having children.
Jennifer Lopez legally changed her name to 'Jennifer Lynn Affleck' after her Las Vegas wedding and announced the marriage via her newsletter, On the JLo, saying that they finally did it, adding that love is beautiful, kind, and patient; twenty years of patience.
JLo continued that their small intimate wedding in Las Vegas was precisely what they had desired. Jennifer Lopez had shared that not everyone gets a second chance at love and now she and Ben both are smarter, older and experienced adding that they are at different places in their lives now with kids involved, they have to be very conscious of the things which were not a concern when they were together twenty years ago. The singer added that they are so protective of what they have right now because it is such a beautiful time for all of them.
