Yesterday, that is September 22, 2021, marked the release of a highly awaited film named "Intrusion" by Netflix. Audience was pretty excited for the film, especially to see the 2 leading stars working together -  Freida Pinto and Logan Marshall-Green and that too under the directorship of a reputed director, Adam Salky.

The excitement that was awaiting the film for long vanished soon enough and turned into frustration upon seeing the film. Yeah, because the film turned flop, getting an IMDb rating of 5.2 stars out of 10. This wasn't expected by the director or the viewers, and even the cast and crew of the film.

Critics say that the script and the plot presentation didn't do justice to the great actress Freida Pinto, the actor Marshall and their iconic duo!

Although it was tried hard to put twists and turns in the movie to engage the audience, but those ups and downs were very predictable that left no upcoming suspense or mysterious plot to entertain the viewers in the whole film.

The scenes and the "created thrill" were so evident to guess that even the villain of the film was known within 10 to 15 minutes of its start leaving no further stimulation to watch the film as there were no surprising elements to be found later in the film.

The film wasn't liked by many, but you see for yourself after reviewing the plot.

Let me give a few instances to describe the concept and story of the film for your ease. The movie basically revolves around the couple of Meera (played by Pinto) and Henry (played by Marshall) who shifts to a new house; oops, let me correct myself, they shifted to a "mansion" to lead a new life away from the hustle and bustle of Boston. This was their own house, but the audience was never told how they were able to afford such a magnificent piece of structure? If we keep aside the audience, even Meera in the movie wasn't told nor she asked that how her husband Henry was able to pay such a marvel for acquiring the same!

Okay, so this "insignificant question" was significantly ignored. Moving on, the plot kicks into action when on one fine night, someone breaks into their house when the couple is enjoying themselves out on a date. Here another super weak point of the script is seen, I mean as per the script Henry had so much money to afford the house but he couldn't afford to think of installing an alarm system to safeguard his house a little bit. Herry neglected this significant piece, while Meera ignored it pretty easily.

Now the break-in that happened had a negative impact on the couple's 12-year long history of togetherness. Intrusion puts forth some very significant issues of a long-term relationship when partners don't ask questions from each other and don't want to be answered. It shows the role of a woman who automatically assumes some very pertinent questions without asking it directly.

Meera doesn't realize how toxic her relationship is which is, based upon long-hidden secrets, guilt as well as manipulation that makes the viewers feel for her to be trapped in the 4 walls. Meanwhile, Henry can be seen reminding Meera how he cared for her when she was suffering from cancer and how he treated her when she was depressed, repeatedly that makes Meera feel forever indebted to him.

The plot was okay, but it required some twist elements that would have made the audience awestruck. Seeing the excellent choice of actors to lead in the film, the film should have been the opposite of what it was made to give justice to the role played by these eminent personalities.

Being hopeful to see the Pinto-Marshall duo again in a well-scripted film that levels up to our excitement!
