Adele is opening up about her life with Rich Paul while appearing on The Graham Norton Show on Friday along with Jim Broadbent, Dame Helen Mirren, Golda Rosheuvel, and George Ezra.

During an appearance on The Graham Norton Show, Adele has cleared the rumors of being engaged to boyfriend Rich Paul after a paparazzi and a lot of fans spotted a huge diamond ring on her finger at the BRIT awards. She also spoke about starting a family soon with him.

Although Adele has not confirmed or denied the rumors of getting engaged to Rich Paul but replied when Graham Norton asked her, “If I was, would I ever tell anyone if I was or wasn’t?” And Graham said, "As a casual observer it looks like you are..." and the singer replied with just one word, "Alright”.

Graham Norton also asked Adele about her postponed Las Vegas residency and the British singer confirmed that it’s going to happen next year as she plans on having a baby this year. She said, “It is absolutely 100 percent happening this year. It has to happen this year because I’ve got plans for next year. Imagine if I have to cancel because I am having a baby?” Adele further added, “It takes me a while to recharge, and I would like to have more children – I only just feel like I've caught up with my sleep from nine years ago when I had my son”.

Talking about her delayed show, Adele clarified that it is not because of Covid-19 and said, “I tried my hardest and really thought I would be able to pull something together in time. I regret that I kept going until that late in the day. It would have been a really half-arsed show, and I can’t do that. People will see straight through me up on the stage and know I didn’t want to be doing it. I’ve never done anything like that in my life and I’m not going to start now. We are now working our a***s off, but I don't want to announce a new set of dates until I know everything will definitely be ready. The sooner I can announce the better, but I just can't in case we are not ready in time.”

A source close to the singer revealed that Adele was not able to get through rehearsals for the debut and said, Adele’s been crying and couldn’t get through a single full rehearsal for the past month. Just constantly on the phone with Rich … loudly shouting and sobbing. She has barely rehearsed because she is constantly in the middle of an emotional shootout.” Adele took to her social media last month to announce that she feels terrible to cancel the show. In her video, she said, "Half my team, half my crew are hit by Covid, they still are and it's been impossible to finish the show and I can't give you what I have right now and I'm gutted. I'm sorry it's so last minute, we've been awake for over 30 hours now trying to figure it out and we've run out of time and I'm so upset and I'm really embarrassed. I'm so sorry to everyone that's traveled again. I'm really, really sorry."

During the interview, she was asked if she is going to disappear from the limelight post her Las Vegas residency to which Adele replied, “I definitely will but I am trying to make a conscious effort to stop being so anal with my privacy. I'm trying not to be two completely different versions of myself. It is exhausting switching on and off. I will be disappearing in terms of my music, but you might see a glimpse of me now and then and I won't be incomplete hiding.” Adele recently won Artist of the Year at BRIT Awards 2022 and in her acceptance speech thanked her ex-husband Simon Konecki and son Angelo who is now nine years old. Adele also went ahead and said, "I understand why the name of this award has changed but I really love being a woman and being a female artist. I do! I'm really proud of us, I really, really am."

These comments from the singer caught a lot of attention as she was accused of transphobia. One of the people wrote, “Please, no, ADELE can’t be a TERF." Another one wrote, "So...Adele's a bit terfy then? Good, good." 'TERF' stands for "trans-exclusionary radical feminist. Another user wrote, "Using this to be transphobic and sayings--t like 'i stand with adele' while Adele would hate you for being transphobic? she stands with trans rights and if you don't then you don't really stand with Adele. GTFO."

Talking about that, Adele shared, “I am very happy, really chuffed. In my speech I wanted to acknowledge other people and my son who is old enough now. I don't share too much of him, but they are my little soulmates – Angelo and Simon. Our family is separated but we're nailing it and doing a really, really good job”.

Adele not only won awards at BRIT awards night but also performed for the fans and the artists present at the show. She sang her ballad, ‘I Drink Wine’, and she has not yet commented on the transphobia accusations.
