Just two weeks before the kick-off of the famous and highly anticipated Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, Grammy-winning rapper, Kanye West, who now goes by the name "Ye", and who was scheduled to perform from on April 17th and April 24th in Indio, California, has decided to back out of his appearance at the festival.
This is not the first time Ye has backed out of a scheduled performance as he pulled out of a planned headlining appearance at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival back in 2020 as well, which was later postponed due to the pandemic. In 2016, due to medical reasons, Kanye West canceled the final leg of his 'Sanit Pablo' tour, which also witnessed a lot of controversial and unpredictable on-stage rants.

The reason stated the fan was because allowing Kanye West to perform is just going to give him a platform to spill more hate against Kim and Pete. The petition already has about 50,000 signatures, with one of the petitioner describing Kanye as a narcissistic, egotistical bully who believes that his wealth and celebrity status gives him free rein to abuse, threaten, shame, and defame others. The user added that why was Kanye West allowed to have a platform after such behavior?
A lot of fans have raised concerns for Kanye's ex-wife Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson after Ye went ahead to accuse them of various things online including sharing the text messages between him and Kim.
