Kanye West backs out of Coachella.

Just two weeks before the kick-off of the famous and highly anticipated Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, Grammy-winning rapper, Kanye West, who now goes by the name "Ye", and who was scheduled to perform from on April 17th  and April 24th in Indio, California, has decided to back out of his appearance at the festival.

This is not the first time Ye has backed out of a scheduled performance as he pulled out of a planned headlining appearance at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival back in 2020 as well, which was later postponed due to the pandemic. In 2016, due to medical reasons, Kanye West canceled the final leg of his 'Sanit Pablo' tour, which also witnessed a lot of controversial and unpredictable on-stage rants.

Although the reason for Kanye West's pulling out of the show has not been clearly stated as of now, according to sources, Ye has pulled out of the performance because he has not rehearsed for it. But if rumors are to be believed, there could be various other reasons for Kanye West backing out of the festival.

It has also been reported that Travis Scott, whom Kanye West announced in February was going to perform with him after Travis Scott's performance was pulled out of the festival following the rapper's Astroworld disaster, is also not going to appear at the festival. The performance at the Coachella would have been Travis' return on stage after the Astroworld disaster.

According to the source, Kanye West, who recently told his estranged wife, Kim Kardashian that he is going away to get help and get better, wants to stay away from the public eye for a while, which could be one of the reasons why he backed out of his scheduled performance. Kanye does not want to get indulge in any more social media altercations with Kim, Pete, or anyone.

Kanye West, who decided to skip the 64th annual Grammy Awards on Sunday, earned two Grammys for Best Melodic Rap Performance for "Hurricane" and Best Rap Song for "Jail" during the ceremony. Kanye West was scheduled to perform at the Grammys 2022 on April 3rd, 2022 as well, but his social media altercations with fellow stars including host Trevor Noah for whom Ye used a racial slur, led to his social media ban from META for 24 hours. The ban from social media and raised concerns by a lot of people forced the Recording Academy to take a decision to cancel his performance at the Grammys 2022.

According to Page Six, one of the fans, under the name of "Kim Pete" had launched a Change.org petition asking the organizers of Coachella to cancel Kanye West's performance at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. The reason stated the fan was because allowing Kanye West to perform is just going to give him a platform to spill more hate against Kim and Pete. The petition already has about 50,000 signatures, with one of the petitioner describing Kanye as a narcissistic, egotistical bully who believes that his wealth and celebrity status gives him free rein to abuse, threaten, shame, and defame others. The user added that why was Kanye West allowed to have a platform after such behavior?

A lot of fans have raised concerns for Kanye's ex-wife Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson after Ye went ahead to accuse them of various things online including sharing the text messages between him and Kim.
