Eva Longoria is all up for the reboot of Desperate Housewives!

During an appearance at GoodDay New York, actress Eva Longoria shared that if there was a reboot happening of ABC drama series, Desperate Housewives, she would be the first person to sign on to the project.

Eva Longoria, who played Gabrielle Solis on the show, shared that the creator, Marc Cherry, is not interested in exploring more of the characters as he feels that he had already explored a lot of those characters and they ended up in good shape. Eva also added that when she shared the idea of a reboot, Marc asked her why now, what they would be doing right now?

The actress joked and said that she honestly does not know if people would watch them again on screen, as she added that she is 100 years old.

Desperate Housewives aired from 2004 to 2012 for eight seasons and starred Eva Longoria, Felicity Huffman, Teri Hatcher, Marcia Cross, Brenda Strong, and Nicollette Sheridan. It is considered one of the most successful and popular shows that people love to go back and watch. The mystery-comedy-drama series created by Marc Cherry garnered appreciation from the audience and the critics and won awards, including seven Emmy Awards and two Golden Globes for best series-musical or comedy.

Eva Longoria is currently filming for her CNN+ show "Searching for Mexico," which is a spin-off series of Stanley Tucci: Searching for Italy. For the show, she has been visiting the Historic Centre of Guadalajara, Mexico, and the Municipal Palace of Guadalajara. According to Deadline, "Searching for Mexico" is going to be a six-part series that will follow Eva Longoria as she travels across the country of Mexico.

Eva Longoria said in a statement that partnering with CNN for such a special project is like a dream come true for her. Exploring the culture, cuisine, and world of Mexico is something she is looking forward to as she is extremely proud of her Mexican American roots. Eva also added that she is a huge fan of Stanley’s journey where he traveled throughout Italy and has set the bar high for her, but she is ready to make the world fall in love with Mexico.

Searching for Mexico is not the first time Eva Longoria is going to explore and embrace her Mexican roots, as she co-founded Casa del Sol, a tequila company that makes the drink with the finest hand-selected 100% Blue Weber agave that is sourced from the rich clay soil of Jalisco, Mexico.

USA, Eva Longoria shared that she believes her ultra-premium tequila is going to disrupt the game for other drinks, adding that it is one of the few tequila brands that have authentic Mexican roots. The actress added that she loves using opportunities that help her celebrate her Mexican roots and any strong female influence.

During a recent appearance to promote her tequila, Eva Longoria shared that Casa del Sol is about legacy and the liquid instead of being a celebrity forwarded. It is about the sustainability tradition and how people frame and pay fair wages. The actress went on to say that tequila cannot be influenced by celebrities because it is all about craftsmanship and art.
