Jason Momoa, who recently attended the London premiere of "Dune" and spent time with a large number of individuals, announced on social media that he had tested positive for COVID-19. Dune was released in October and has received critical accolades all around the world.

42-year-old actor Jason said, "I got hit with COVID right after the premiere. There were a lot of people I met in England, so I got a lot of alohas from people. And who knows?" The actor also added that he is doing fine and thanked his fans and supporters for the good wishes and concerns for his health. He added, "And, yeah, I'm just camped out in my house. Mahalo for all the love and support."

The Aquaman actor said, "Everyone wants to know how COVID is going. It's going pretty well. Yeah, we're having a ball." Jason has been isolated with his roommate, skateboarder Erick Ellington, and while sharing an update about his health, he filmed Erick doing tricks on his skateboard through the house. Regardless of being down with a virus, Jason Momoa hinted to his fans that something really exciting and cool is coming out and promised that he would soon share his quarantine routine as well.

According to a source told the Sun "Jason is fine, luckily, and is now isolating after getting a positive test. But it’s a real headache for the film’s bosses, who are now worrying about having to delay their tight filming schedule. Of course, the safety of everyone working on the film is the most important thing, and everyone is tested regularly. They are hoping this is a one-off and that they can work around Jason and continue filming on the production. Everyone is wishing him a speedy recovery, and they’re looking forward to having him back on set." There is no information on whether the actor is vaccinated or not.

The actor recently appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on 16th October 2021 where he mentioned that he is an "aging superhero" after sustaining some injuries on set. He stated, "I'm getting old. I messed up my eyes, just got something in it that kind of cut it up, and I got to get surgery, a hernia, I got ribs out, I'm just getting beat up." Jason Momoa further added that it's "going to be a great movie," regardless of his attempts to do too much on set. "I love my job and I get a little too excited and then, you know, the age thing. "I'm an aging superhero," he said.

Jason Momoa discussed the work that went into his last battle scene in the film in a recent interview. He mentioned that a lot of the training he performed to prepare entailed Kali, a Filipino martial arts style. He revealed, "There are definitely instances when I'm signalling to my son in private. It's a Kali motion to place your palm on your heart and then on your head. That's directed at Timothée Chalamet in the film, but it's directed at my son in real life."
