Jessie J is pregnant.
A year after suffering a miscarriage, Jessie J announced on social media that she is expecting her first baby and posted a compilation video of her increasing baby bump with the caption that she is so pleased and scared to lastly announce the good news, adding that individuals should be polite with her.
Jessie J added that she honestly just wants to weep in public while having to wear a catsuit and having to eat a chocolate-covered pickle with no question posed. The singer's news that she is expecting her first kid comes after she disclosed to her fans that she suffered a miscarriage in November 2021.
The singer, who has been open about her attempts in getting pregnant for over a year, shared at the time that life's short and all she ever wanted to have was to be a mom so she has decided to have a baby all by herself. Jessie said that getting pregnant was a miracle in itself, an experience she will never forget, and she knew that she would have it again.
In November 2022, the singer once again reflected on the loss of her baby, explaining that a year ago she was told that her baby no longer had a heartbeat, and although she can tell the story without crying, she is still discovering all the positives that experience gave her. She went on to say that people say time heals, however, it never truly does and that she is sending her strength and compassion to anyone else's heart who is currently undergoing the same thing as her right now. And Jessie J mentioned that she feels for her precious child, baby, everywhere and especially now.
Jessie J revealed in 2018 that she was told about four years ago that she couldn't have children, which is alright, but she also asserted that she plans to have children. Jessie stated that she's not revealing her story for sympathy, but because she's one of the millions of women and men who have or will undergo this, and it does not define them. The singer continued that she wished to compose a song for herself during times of sadness and pain but also to bring so much joy to oneself and to give everyone else something to listen to when times are tough. So Jessie noted that if anyone in the world has ever undergone something like this, or has watched somebody else endure it, or has lost their child, they must also know that they are not by themselves in their hardship.
On Sunday, she shared a video with a reel of clips shot at different points during her first month of pregnancy, in which the singer doubles over in pain, her head every once in a while planted in a trash can or airsickness bag. In one video, she leans into a wash basin and starts running water over her flushed face, whereas in another, she sobs. She says in the video that she can't explain how sick she is to everyone and that she was alerted about the first trimester being woofy woof.
Fans and celebrities congratulated Jessie J, such as Kelly Rowland, who wrote underneath the post that she is "screaming with joy" and congratulated her on the wonderful news. Ruby Rose also chose to write that when she informed her about the news, she felt the most gratitude in her heart, adding that Jessie deserved it beyond belief.
