Kate Walsh recently took to social media and announced her return as Dr. Addison Montgomery in style for the series the eighteenth season. 

A video of her was posted on Grey's Anatomy's official Twitter handle (@GreysABC). She can be seen asking viewers to look “who it is,”. She looks excited about joining Shonda (Rhimes), Ellen (Pompeo), and the rest of the cast and crew and be back at Grey-Sloan Memorial hospital as Dr. Addison Montgomery. 

Walsh will be seen in multiple episodes, of Season 18. She was also welcomed by Ellen Pompeo (Dr. Meredith Grey) who commented on her post “Let’s give them what they want...quality tv drama”

Grey's Anatomy is the American high watermark medical drama series that started in 2005. ABC’s highest-rated drama series is all about the doctors, interns, and the patient life and their act of balancing the professional and personal life. The series has gone through many changes from the production to cast to crew members throughout the series.

Addison joined the series from season one itself as Derek’s ex-wife. She was a recurring character on a term basis from the starting. Later on, she was recruited with a regular cast as Rhimes was addicted to Walsh's character in the seasons. Once the love triad was solved, Walsh was moved to another series of Rhimes Private Practice. Hence Addison's character was put to an end for few seasons.

The Emily in Paris star also posted a viral TikTok trend video on her social media account in which she is seen answering the question on her return with a smile “yes” and then she is seen in a medical scrub, lip-synching to iconic Emma Roberts line from American Horror.

The seventeenth season of the series was launched on November 12, 2020, which was delayed by two months due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Owing to which the next season was delayed.

On May 10, 2021, the eighteenth season was about to publish but was postponed and now it is rescheduled to be premiered on September 30, 2021.
