Keanu Reeves upcoming film BRZRKR has roped Batman co-writer Mattson Tomlin to write the story of the much-anticipated film. An American filmmaker and screenwriter, Mattson Tomlin has written scripts for various films and television shows such as Project Power, Little Fish, The Batman, Mother/Android, and many more. BRZRKR is an on-screen adaptation of comic book series by the same name BRZRKR, written by Keanu Reeves himself.

The superstar recently in an interview disclosed some new details about the film. He said, "We’re working with Netflix, who have been very cool. They’re going to let us do an R-rated story which is cool."

He added, "My ambition or hope is not to do a filmed version of the comic book so that they’ll have things in common, definitely the main character and his kind of rule set, but that we can take it to other places as well we’re talking to a couple of different animation companies and trying to figure that out. And, again, for me I’m hoping to be inspired and influenced…there are some rules to the story, but I also want other creators to do their version of it. So I’m hoping to do a different version of a metaverse where in the sense having different storytellers with one set of rules but go other places with it. We’re working on trying to set up a company with the animation and we’ve hired a writer for the film Mattson Tomlin. He’s been cool and just starting to put things together. That’s where we’re at.”

The film is produced under the banner of Netflix and is inspired by Keanu Reeves own comic book BRZRKR, which was published on March 3, 2021.

The 57-year-old Canadian actor and filmmaker Keanu Reeves started his acting career by starring in the television show Hangin released in 1984. Keanu Reeves is well known for his role in the John Wick franchise which includes John Wick Chapter 1, John Wick: Chapter 2, and John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum. The actor recently gave his voice in Toy Story 4. The superstar Keanu Reeves is next set to feature in the action-packed film Matrix Resurrection.

Directed by Lana Wachowski and produced under the banner of Warner Bros Studios, the film is set to release on HBO Max and theatres, simultaneously on 1st April 2022.
