Kelsea Ballerini was asked if she's single on Alex Cooper's Call Her Daddy podcast, and she started laughing and said no. The singer also added that she is just vibing, trying to add that she wasn't particularly worried about ex-husband Morgan Evans seeing the photos of her and the Outer Banks actor Chase Stokes doing rounds on social media.
Kelsea said she is no longer in a relationship with Morgan Evans and she is not required to be concerned about his feelings adding that she says this with all due respect, but his journey is not hers.
She explained that she and Chase have been talking since December 2022 and that she is "happy" and "relearning" a lot about how she behaves in a relationship. Kelsea disclosed that she slid into Chase Stokes' direct message and she just went for it adding that she just texted him "Hi Chase Stokes," as his handle is @hichasestokes. The singer said she is relearning a lot about herself, how she shows up in a relationship, and how she shows up for herself and it's been a lovely reawakening.
The "Peter Pan" singer has been coy about her relationship status, but she finally addressed it on Wednesday. Kelsea said she has opinions and she has a career that is important to her adding that she has dreams and goals that are not tied to anyone. Kelsea told Alex Cooper that she has her shit together and for her to share that with anyone is a gift and she wants to be with someone who feels the same way about life as her. She joked that she is a relationship b*tch.
Chase Stokes and Kelsea Ballerini sparked dating rumors after sharing intimate pictures of themselves from the College Football Playoff National Championship in January. Later, they were seen holding hands in Nashville. A source at the time shared that Chase and Kelsea have been flirting back and forth since meeting through friends at the College Football National Championship Game in Los Angeles adding that something may happen later on, but it was completely innocent on both sides.
Earlier this month, while promoting his upcoming season of Outer Banks, Chase Stokes gushed about his lady love during a conversation with TMZ as he stated that she's a lovely young woman adding that all he will say is that everybody is having a good time. On Tuesday, January 24, the two went out together at Robert's Western World in Nashville. Chase Stokes was seen whispering in the "Miss Me More" singer's ear before grabbing her hand in a video obtained by TMZ. Chase Stokes also expressed that he is very proud of her for landing the Saturday Night Live performance in March. He shared with Extra TV that she is an incredible human being and he adores her to the moon and back this is a watershed moment for her so he is just extremely proud of her.
When discussing how her friends came through for her when she needed them, Kelsea Ballerini began to cry while talking to Alex Cooper explaining that she is an only child and has always wished for sisters adding that it has been such a blessing, like, she has such a great group of girlfriends who have just shown up at inconvenient times.
She went on to recall a time in 2019 when she asked Morgan Evans to meet her in Los Angeles because she was feeling a bit down, but he didn't show up. Kelsea said last year, she was on tour publicly following her divorce, going on stage every night, and her best friend Kelly shocked her at her L.A. show, and... the following day, she had a day off, and they were continuing to drive in Malibu, and she looked at Kelsea and said, "Do you know I'm here? Because in 2019, she had to ask someone (Morgan Evans) who should have known to come out here. The singer said Kelly told her that he should have known, and she inquired, but he did not appear. And she was there to show her that it's not that bad.
