Khloe Kardashian talks about Blac Chyna’s lawsuit.
During the new episode of The Kardashians, Khloe Kardashian was heard discussing the Blac Chyna lawsuit, in which Blac Chyna sued Kris Jenner, Kim Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian, and Kylie Jenner in 2017, claiming they had tampered with her agreement with E!, which is why her "successful" show Rob and Chyna were not renewed for a second season. Blac Chyna had filed a defamation lawsuit for 100 million dollars against the KarJenners, accusing them of sabotaging their show's success by pressuring and influencing the network to cancel it and defame her online which led to her losing out on great brand deals.
During the trial, Network executives testified as well, claiming that they did not renew the show as a result of Rob and Chyna's relationship, not anything his family said or did. The jurors decided that the family's actions did not stop Season 2 of the show from airing, hence no damages were given to Blac Chyna.
Khloe Kardashian, along with her sisters Kim Kardashian and Kourtney Kardashian, was at the lunch just a few days before the trial, where they discussed the trial, and Khloe said that the mother of her brother’s daughter, (Blac Chyna), is suing her, Kylie Jenner, Kimberly, and Kris Jenner for defamation and interference with a contract. She added that the trial starts next week, and Blac Chyna is saying that the Rob & Chyna show did not get a second season because they interfered with it and not because they were not in a relationship anymore.
The viewers saw Kim Kardashian receiving a call from the family lawyer and asking him about the records that Blac Chyna was requested to submit, and the lawyer informed them that Blac Chyna has begun to give the documents, but they have filed a motion that will be heard in a few days on excluding her damages claim since she had not fulfilled her obligation to provide them everything. The lawyer also stated that she provided them with a document dump of financial documents, but they are incomplete and lack tax returns adding that they are missing a lot of things.
When asked why Blac Chyna was pursuing the lawsuit if no monetary damages were won, her lawyer stated that she could claim monetary damages and request that the trial move ahead to verify that she was right, and then she would end up receiving a dollar. During the conversation, Kim Kardashian mentioned that Blac Chyna had a protection order against their brother, thus how could they even put on a show together if they had a restraining order and can not physically stand next to each other?
Kim went on to say that she was anxious because she understands that when there is a jury associated, there is no saying how individuals will side, and even if the people have the truth on their side and genuinely think on their side and team, individuals have no idea what the outcomes will be.
Khloe expressed a similar sentiment, stating that Blac Chyna is suing them for more than a hundred million dollars and that they are putting their destiny in the hands of 12 random people, adding, "What if the potential jurors hate them?" Khloe admitted that she wasn't particularly worried about almost anything she'd done, saying that "facts are facts." But she still had thoughts and emotions about the trial. She stated that Blac Chyna suing them is very strenuous and inconvenient, especially since her daughter, Dream, is present at her house. In one of the previous episodes, Kris Jenner also expressed how stressful the lawsuit is for them.
Given how close Khloe Kardashian is to her brother, Rob Kardashian, and how much time she spends with him and Blac Chyna's daughter Dream, having dealt with legal matters surrounding Dream's mom was upsetting for her. The Kardashians won their defamation lawsuit in early May although they were not present at the courthouse when the decision was announced.
Family Lawyer Michael Rhodes said at the time that on behalf of Kris, Kim, Khloe, and Kylie, he wants to express their appreciation to the jury adding that the family members are also grateful for the steady hand of Judge Alarcon in making sure that this was a fair trial. The jury sent a clear message to Angela White (Blac Chyna) and her lawyer stating that they hope that they are listening. Justice has prevailed.
During the April 26 hearing, Khloe Kardashian referred to Blac Chyna as toxic adding that she wanted to protect her brother from Blac Chyna's outrageous, chaotic, and violent behavior. Khloe said in a mail at the time that they were all contemplating not being a part of such toxicity adding that they were even thinking about not continuing with their famous and successful reality show if theirs continues; that's how powerful they feel this is causing damage to their family.
