Khloe Kardashian reveals about the secret proposal from former partner Tristan Thompson.
The second episode of The Kardashians premiered on Hulu and Khloe Kardashian revealed while having a conversation with Kim Kardashian that her former partner Tristan Thompson had proposed to her more than a year ago, which she had rejected. Khloe also shared that she decided not to share the news about the proposal with the family.
Kim Kardashian had initially talked about it when the sisters were talking about how Khloe has been holding up following the paternity scandal, and Kim was heard saying in a confessional that she just worries for her sister because she thinks that Khloe Kardashian holds so much inside her, and then later the conversation went back to the sisters talking about the secret proposal.
Kim said to Khloe that the fact that Tristan Thompson had proposed to her and she decided not to tell them was pretty shocking for the family. Kim continued that she asked Tristan months later, the night after she thought the proposal happened, and he questioned her, Did Khloe not tell them that he had proposed to her?
Kim said in the confessional that she will never forget the day when Tristan called her up and told her that he was going to propose to Khloe Kardashian on Valentine’s Day, which was a year since the two of them had drama, so the proposal was last Valentine’s Day. Kim further added that she called up Tristan to know about the proposal, to which he said that he had proposed to her in December.
The conversation shifted back to Khloe explaining the proposal to Kim Kardashian and saying that it happened just three months before Tristan got involved with someone else and she replied to him that she needs to make sure that the relationship they have is different because she wants to be real when she says that she is engaged to someone. Khloe recalled telling Tristan that she was not comfortable accepting his proposal at the time because she was not excited to tell her family and, as hurtful as that probably was for the basketball player to hear it from Khloe, she said that she was never going to accept something or give false hope to anyone, which is exactly what she said to him.
Kim Kardashian revealed in a confessional video that if someone asked her to marry him, she would have to say yes because she would feel terrible if she said no. The beauty mogul said to her sister that she gets it, it’s super draining and she is sorry, adding that she does not deserve it and it sucks whatever is happening with her. Kim reminded Khloe that she is the best person, best girlfriend, and best wife, and she tells everyone that Khloe is the best person she knows.
During the conversation, Khloe shared how Tristan Thompson’s actions had affected her and her mental well-being and explained that going through what she went through with Tristan was particularly difficult for her to teach herself to stop loving someone. She noted that it was her life for six years and that they weren't just a couple; they were best friends and exercise partners who did all of these things together. She said that it will take time to figure out how to reverse all of these things. According to Khloe, just because someone does something unsavory, it doesn't necessarily imply that they would lose interest in them right away.
Khloe also shared the same with Kim and said that it's a lot for her to take in and she just likes to isolate and deal with things on her own, adding that they were in the best place that they were. So when they were at the peak of their relationship, he goes ahead and cheats on me? She said that she doesn't even want to know what he did in the worst of their relationship and mentioned that she is just like, "shame on her almost. Khloe admitted that she knew better and she didn't do better because she had so much hope and faith. Khloe continued that she does not know about having that feeling of trust the way Kim has with her then-boyfriend and now ex-boyfriend Pete Davidson, but what she does know is that it sucks, it's humiliating and hurtful.
The founder of Good American mentioned that she does not have any fucks to give and when people tell her that she is very strong and things, Khloe said that she is not strong, but she is just literally numb to all the things, mentioning that how much a person has to take in? The couple recently welcomed their second child together, a baby boy via surrogacy, and Khloe said in the first episode that she just wanted to do this in private because she was scared of the media backlash and what people would say about her.
Khloe had clarified that the duo had completed their procedure just days before the news of Tristan Thompson’s paternity scandal broke. The Good American founder was recently linked to Michele Morrone during her visit to Milan Fashion Week and while fans were excited to see how this would turn out for her, Michele's representative clarified that the duo were asked to click a picture together and they were nice to each other, ending the speculation of the duo dating.
