Kim Kardashian has just sped up her divorce process with Kanye West and has asked to be legally single as she drops off her former husband's name. Of course, Pete Davidson, her boyfriend, has some thoughts on the matter, or maybe not.

The reality TV star recently filed for removing her wedded last name, West, from her name and also filed to be legally single. On the other hand, Kanye could not try harder than he has already done as he did everything from asking Kim to come back to him for the sake of their kids to apologizing during a Thanksgiving prayer and calling her his wife repeatedly. 

However, Kim's latest flame, Pete Davidson, can't just care any less. A source shared, “Pete really has little reaction about Kim’s decision on changing her name back and removing West from it.” Still, with Kim Kardashian, aged 41, asking to be legally single, the relationship of the comedian, aged 28, and the American fashion icon could escalate further quickly. 

Just a few hours before the news of Kim wanting to be single made rounds on the internet, Kanye was reportedly heard singing a pleading intro to the song Runway. He sang at the Karry Hoover Benefit concert, “I need you to come right back to me…more specifically, Kimberly.” Kim was also in the audience at the December 10 musical event.

Being perfectly nonchalant regarding the events, Pete wants Kim to do whatever she wants and drop her last name if she wishes to. An insider revealed, “If she wants to do it, he is all for it. He is all about having people do things that people want to do for themselves. Whatever makes you happy is his mentality.” The comedian himself got his matching tattoos with Miley Cyrus lasered off. The two had gotten the tattoos together that said "We Babies" back from 2017 when they performed on SNL together. 

Saying how both Pete and Kim had been completely cool with each other, the source added, “He is currently removing his tattoos, and he wouldn’t want anyone to judge him for that. So why should he judge anyone for doing something that makes them feel better, like a name change?” They are presently trying to take things as they are. “It has no bearing on them or their relationship. He’s happy if she is happy. That is his standing on it all,” added the source. 

Kim had filed for divorce from Kanye in February 2021, and the two share four children together. While no one ever thought that Pete and Kim would ever even think of going into a relationship, the two stunned their fans when they shared a kiss during their Saturday Night Live debut. The two were dressed as Aladdin and Jasmine when they leaned into a kiss while riding a magical carpet and sent the entire internet into a frenzy!

The two hit it off with their instant chemistry and were soon seen together holding hands at Knott's Berry Farm for the first time, followed by a roller coaster ride, again with fingers intertwined. The two have been spotted together numerous times since then in New York City. They were also seen together at Pete's birthday bash, which was also attended by the Kardashian momager, Kris Jenner, aged 66, in Palm Springs.

Fans are not yet sure if things are actually serious between the two, if they are exclusive or if their constant PDA means that they have gone official. Neither of the two stars has commented on their relationship publicly as of now. However, Miley Cyrus was more than happy to point towards Pete's rich girlfriend.

Her friendly remark at The Tonight Show was, “I said, it should have been me — ohhhhh, it should been me…Pete Davidson, how you gonna do this to me?” said the singer in a sing-song voice. “It should have been me in that Lamborghini leaving that nice a– restaurant. I want to watch a movie in freaking Staten Island…oh yeah, it should have been me,” added the star with remarkable precision of Pete's dates with Kim.

But before any of the sources had linked them as friends, the public perception was the two were just good friends. “Kim and Pete seemed like good friends,” said a person witnessing the two heading towards a date. “Kim seemed very chill. It did seem like she was trying to hide.” It is almost fun to note that Kim and Pete would have come together as they previously celebrated occasions together because Kim's former husband Kanye West often collaborated with Kid Cudi, who is a good friend of Pete.

Just before Kim had gotten together with Pete, an insider had shared that the beauty mogul is afraid that no guy would want him because of her estranged husband. “She’s not focused on dating at the moment but actually worries that guys will not want to date her because of how public her relationship was with Kanye,” said the insider. “She also knows how hard it is to build trust with someone. So she thinks it’s going to take time before letting someone into her private life.”

Luckily just around this time, the comedian called off his five months relationship with Phoebe Dynevor due to the long distance. A source had shared, “The distance put a strain on the relationship and it made it hard to maintain,” of their relationship.
