During an appearance on Amanda Hirsch’s podcast, "Not Skinny But Not Fat," Kim Kardashian revealed why she decided to re-brand her beauty lines.

Kim Kardashian, who launched her successful KKW Beauty and KKW Fragrance in 2017 along with announcing that she has a skincare line coming up, recently announced that she is going to shut down KKW Beauty and KKW Fragrance, from May 1st, stating that she is focusing on rebranding the makeup lines.

The move came after she was legally declared single and had dropped the surname West from her name, and people just assumed that she wanted to launch the brand without West in it, but during the podcast interview, she clarified that the rebranding of her makeup and fragrance line has nothing to do with her divorce from Kanye West.

She explained that she looked up and turned her attention towards how people had to go from KKW Beauty to KKW Skin to KKW Fragrance, which cost a lot of shipping charges since three different websites and then SKIMS made her sad. Kim added that she wanted to list all of her products under one beauty brand, and that’s the whole reason she announced that she was shutting the brands down only to re-launch them with a new name and new web store where the people could find all of her brands' products under one website. A source mentioned in July 2021 that Kanye West was also helping Kim Kardashian with rebranding her beauty brand.

Kim Kardashian said that this step of rebranding makes her feel like she has started her brand from scratch, which makes her happy, and she loves the entire process of starting something new. During the podcast interview, Kim Kardashian also told Amanda that she and Kanye West went about eight months without talking to each other at the beginning of their divorce, but she is happy that they both found a place to be happy or atleast maintain some communication now.

Kim Kardashian mentioned in the interview that Kanye West is always going to be her family, and they are always going to have so much love for each other and the kids, and they do love the time they spend together as a couple. She explained that she went to the "Donda" premiere in Atlanta and Kanye West would still come and see her and the kids but they did not talk. She said that maybe relationships do reach to that point but she hopes that one day in the future, Kanye West and her could be co-parenting goals.

Kim Kardashian, who had previously revealed that she had been honest about the situation between her and Kanye with the kids, mentioned that she had seen how hard divorce gets, referring to the time when Kris Jenner split from the late Robert Kardashian after 13 years of marriage. Kim had mentioned that her elder kids North and Saint are able to understand the situation between her and Kanye but the younger ones do not understand much.

The beauty mogul also briefly addressed the social media posts by Kanye West against her boyfriend, Pete Davidson, and added that she is not someone who would go ahead and judge someone by the way they want to communicate, whether it’s the way she would not agree with, but she added that she knows how Kanye is from the inside, so she knows.

Kim Kardashian concluded by saying that with every social media post-Kanye West made, which have since been deleted, she knew exactly what he meant to say and wanted to express, and that's something she invested in while she was with him, describing it as the beauty of knowing someone for so many years.

Kim Kardashian also mentioned during the interview that all she wants for Kanye West is for him to be happy and in a place where he feels safe and secure with people around him. She also mentioned Kanye’s girlfriend, Chaney Jones, and added that she seems like the sweetest person and whatever makes him happy. Kim said that as long as Kanye is happy, she does not care what it is.

One of the things that Kim Kardashian also spoke about during the podcast interview with Amanda Hirsch was her comments about women in the business during her Vogue interview and explained that the comments she said when she was asked the question, did not land the way she wanted them to. In talking about what has that taught her, Kim said that she is now more aware of the fact that even if you're having a bad day, the way you communicate with people counts.

The Kardashians star added that although some people did resonate with her view, some people were offended and she clarified that she did not mean to hurt anyone because she would never try to single out a certain group of women as she want every woman to win. Those comments have made her extra conscious about how she has to communicate and how her tone has to be and added that she would never try to offend anyone with her comments.
