During a recent appearance on Angie Martinez's IRL podcast, Kim Kardashian candidly spoke about her co-parenting with ex-husband Kanye 'Ye' West and their four children.
The reality TV star got emotional during the interview while admitting that co-parenting their four kids North West, Chicago West, Saint West, and Psalm West is fucking hard. She reflected on her childhood with her father Robert Kardashian and mentioned that she had the best dad stating that because she had the best memories of her childhood, she wants to same for her kids and as long as she can she wants to protect them.
The former couple recently finalized their divorce and Kim during the interview noted that she did protect Kanye West a lot especially when it comes to his on-and-off social media play-by-play of the situation and added that she will still protect him in the eyes of her kids. The beauty mogul went ahead to describe that the kids do not know what is happening in the outside world and stated that she is holding on by a thread but until the kids are mature enough to find things to read online about their parents, she would very much like to protect Kanye to the end of the Earth as long as she could.
Kim Kardashian said that if the kids are not aware of the things that are being said, why would she ever bring that up and bring in the negative energy in the house mentioning that it is a real, heavy, and grownup shit for which the kids are not ready to deal with. The mother of four added that when they are mature enough to deal with the situation or know about what had happened, she will have conversations with them surely and hopes that one day the kids will thank her for not sitting and bashing their father when she could have.
Kim Kardashian was reportedly awarded $200,000 per month as child support in her divorce settlement in November. In addition, the Grammy winner will be accountable for half of the children's healthcare, academic, and insurance costs. The former couple had agreed to forego spousal support. She claimed that the children are unaware of anything, so at school, some of her closest friends are teachers, and she is conscious of what happens during lunchtime and recess. Kim stated that she is aware of what is being talked about in school.
Kim Kardashian who had expected to have an easy co-parenting relationship with her ex-husband said that she strives to feel zen during tough times and feels free of other people’s opinions these days but admitted that she has no choice but to put on a happy face for the sake of her kids. She explained that it is a task to keep them away from news about their family but it’s all worth she said adding that if she is dropping her kids at school, and they want to listen to their father’s music, she will put on a smile on her face and blast his music and sing along with them and she acts like nothing is wrong and as soon as she drops them off, she does have a good cry.
Kim Kardashian filed for divorce from Kanye West, two years ago, after being married to the Grammy winning artist for six years. They settled their divorce in November after a long and tedious legal battle. Based on the agreement, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West will share joint legal custody of their 4 kids with "fair opportunities," though Kim Kardashian will continue to spend most of the time with their children. It's not the first time Kim Kardashian has stated that she will every time safeguard Kanye West in the eyes of her children. She has stated previously that she will always be polite of Kanye because she wished her children to see their father as somebody who they admire and respect.
During the interview, Kim Kardashian expressed dismay that her potential boyfriends will be "scared" of her former Kanye West. She mentioned that a part of her worries that her potential love partners will be terrified all the time because she doesn't have an easy ex-partner. Kim decided to go ahead to add that she doesn't consider it right that she should ever put an individual in a circumstance or bring a new individual in who could be super genuine but there's also a side of her that's like, 'Why would she ever have to live in that way? The SKIMS founder noted that she does not know whether she will marry again, but she knows she will have a partner for life soon adding that she knows that he is coming. Until he arrives, Kim said that she is at peace, and is going to have fun. She broke up with Pete Davidson after nine months of dating.
