However, both Pulp Fiction and Forrest Gump competed over one another for the 1995 Oscars. As Forrest Gump bagged six awards at the Oscars, Pulp Fiction has managed to achieve only one.

Legally Blonde

Christina Applegate has rejected Elle Woods in Legally Blonde. However, Christine later admitted that it was a stupid move in 2001 and said "I am scared of repeating the mistake" in 2015.

In a recent interview, Michelle Pfeiffer admitted that she rejected Clarice Starling in “The silence of the lambs.” Michelle said that she was not comfortable with the message the film drives home as she felt that it was evil.

Michelle Pfeiffer did not like how evil won and ruled out the good. She was uncomfortable with how the film ended. Somehow, the ending made her turn down the offer.

The Matrix

Will Smith lost the chance to work with his wife as he turned down the offer of “The Matrix.” However, Keanu Reeves grabbed the opportunity as soon as Will rejected it.

But, Will admits that he would have messed up the role had he accepted the offer. In 2004, Will said that “The Matrix” is a different concept and admitted that he was not smart enough to maintain the sanctity of the role.
