Kumail Nanjiani, all set to star in the role of Kingo in Chloe Zhao's take on Eternals, has shared a surprising detail that his mother helped him to find his outfit for the premiere of The Eternals.

Nanjiani shared that during the premiere he wanted to wear Sherwani because it "looks awesome" and the outfit that he wears in the film every time reminds him of Sherwanis. "I wanted to wear a Sherwani because 1. They look awesome and 2. My costume in the film always reminded me of Sherwanis. And I wanted to use a designer in Pakistan, not just a Pakistani designer in the U.S. So I called my mom, she gave me names of three amazing designers in Pakistan," Nanjiani shared while speaking with The Hollywood Reporter.

Nanjiani and his stylist, Jeanne Yang, then connected with the House of Umar Sayeed, who is based in Karachi, via Instagram. "I DM'd them," Yang shared.

"I wanted the colors to be similar to my costume colors, and purple and gold are a beautiful combination. The paisley pattern is very traditional as well," Nanjiani added. Yang continued, "They hand-beaded this beautiful paisley pattern in the front and they did this beautiful pattern on the back with gold thread. They made it to his exact measurements. We only had to do a few minor adjustments ... It was wonderful for Kumail to have this gorgeous handmade piece for this special event, his first Marvel film. It's really nice that he's able to wear something that is a traditional piece of wardrobe. I love that he has an appreciation for where he comes from."

While the film will introduce the fans to 10 new superheroes in the MCU when it makes its way into the theatres, it will have a major impact on the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. "But I do think we will have a very big effect on the future of the MCU with what happens in this film. Which, you know, as a fan, is really satisfying for me! I geek out. One big way that it will have an effect is the world knowing of their existence potentially, but also the addition of new characters like Kit Harington as Dane Whitman, a.k.a. the Marvel Comics hero Black Knight," director Chloe Zhao explained in an interview.

Zhao went on to say that the film will also explain to the audiences what timeline will the film take place in. What excited me is the idea of going back in time, and exploring [the time] before Thanos was born, before anyone was born," Zhao added. "Where does the MCU go back in time? And that brings us to the mythology of the Celestials. Anything involving the Celestials is going to be at a huge scale level of complication, let's put it that way."
