Lamar Odom reflects on his marriage with Khloe Kardashian.

A new trailer for TMZ presents Lamar Odom: Sex, Drugs, and Kardashians was released, in which the former Los Angeles Lakers player candidly spoke about the time he was married to reality TV star Khloe Kardashian and struggling with his addiction.

According to the Fox synopsis of the show TMZ Presents: Lamar Odom: Sex, Drugs & Kardashians  is a all-new revealing special that is going to take viewers on a deep dive of Lamar Odom's troubled marriage to Khloé Kardashian, which was as memorable as his incredible basketball career. According to the synopsis, Lamar speaks exclusively to TMZ, opening up just never beforehand about his sexual addiction and substance use, and how they disrupted his marriage to the love of his life and transformed him into a shell of his previous self. The excellent thing is that, as is his wont, Lamar has managed to recover spectacularly.

Lamar Odom told host Harvey Levin that substances were his girlfriend during his marital relationship with Khloe Kardashian, going to add that he had a wife and cocaine. He went on to say that he needed to inform Khloe Kardashian about just the extent of his abusive behavior for at least part of the marriage since he couldn't keep it hidden forever.

The former player claims that he put her through hell behind the scenes, claiming that the things people here know are crazy, but the situations and stories individuals are unaware of are crazy. Lamar Odom was deeply involved in numerous cheating scandals during his wedding to Khloe Kardashian, all while battling drug abuse.

Lamar Odom, who appeared in Big Brother earlier this year, said during one of the confessional episodes that he wishes he could take Khloe Kardashian to dinner, adding that it will be a blessing just to be in her presence and apologize to her and tell her what a fool he was. The player added, however, that the reality TV star has every right to never see him again, especially after the things he put her through, but time moves on and people change.

Due to his substance abuse issues, Lamar Odom and Khloe Kardashian were wedded from 2009 to 2016. Khloe Kardashian filed for separation in December 2013, but Lamar Odom was admitted to a hospital in 2015 after a drug overdose during the divorce proceedings. The reality star decided to withdraw from the divorce in order to make healthcare decisions for her ex, and they divorced in 2016 after his recovery.

Earlier this year, while speaking to US Weekly, Lamar Odom said that when he came out of a coma, Khloe took care of him, and she is talking about a woman who wiped his backside when he couldn’t do it, so he is extremely fond of her for that. Lamar said she had a lot of dignity and pride, just as he did.

The founder of Odom Cannabis has been open about his feelings for his former wife. In an October Facebook post that has since been deleted, he captioned a photo of himself and the reality star and wrote that he was missing his best friend adding memories from his life. When commenters chastised the basketball player for not moving on from his ex, Lamar Odom responded by saying that he is a human being like everyone else and he didn't realize they weren't allowed to miss someone no matter what. He added that he understands the reaction as he did let people down, and he will pay for it for the rest of his life, which is fine.

On the reunion episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, Khloe Kardashian stated that they do not keep in touch, but she simply wishes Lamar nothing other than the best and good health, noting that they are all cheering for him and wishing the best for him. Khloe went on to say that she absolutely adored that chapter in her life and that no matter how dark and crazy it may sound, it was still an extremely important part of her life and story, and she would not change it. It may sound crazy, but it was fated to happen, and it did.

According to reports, Khloe Kardashian is not 'happy' that Lamar Odom agreed to include her name in his docuseries and is unimpressed that Lamar would rehash their life experience for the public. The founder of Good American believes it is unnecessary to continue discussing the troubled past they all went through, noting that she has no anger and hatred toward Lamar but wishes he might just leave it in the past. According to sources, Khloe believes he is entitled to tell his story but would prefer that he leave her name out of it.

The "TMZ Presents: Lamar Odom: Sex, Drugs, and Kardashians" episode airs on FOX at 9 p.m. on January 2 and is accessible for streaming on Hulu the following day.
