According to various reports, actress Lindsay Lohan, who announced her engagement with financier Bader Shammas in November 2021, is now married to him. The news of the couple being husband and wife comes after the actress shared a post on her social media where she addressed Bader Shammas as her "husband".
The social media post that Lindsay Lohan shared read that she is the luckiest woman in the world and added that it’s not because she needs a man but because he (Bader Shammas) had found her and knew that she wanted to find happiness and grace, all at the same time. She also added to her post that she is stunned that Bader Shammas is her husband, her life, and her everything. Lindsay concluded the post by adding that every woman should feel this way every day.
After the actress shared the post, actress Melissa Gorga, who is seen on the Real Housewives of New Jersey, commented on her post and wrote, "I love it." Lindsay Lohan’s younger brother, Dakota, also wrote a compliment for his brother-in-law that his hair was on fleek. There have been no more details announced or disclosed by either of the parties, but some fans pointed out that July 2nd holds a special place in the actress’ heart as it’s her birthday too.
In February, Lindsay Lohan shared an update about her wedding with host Rachel Linday, who asked the actress whether she is a low-key person or if she will be going all in, to which she replied that she is more low-key and stated that even on birthdays she wants to make sure that everyone else is good and then she is okay.
Lindsay Lohan revealed at the time that she had begun to look for destinations and had begun talking to a friend about her wedding gown and that she wanted to do things the right way and pace everything. Lindsay Lohan shared with Rachel Lindsay that she is excited about what the future holds for them as a couple. According to The Independent, Lindsay Lohan and Bader Shammas had been dating for almost two years before the two announced their engagement, and the Mean Girls actress had been living in Bader Shammas’ hometown of Dubai.
Lindsay Lohan decided to settle in Dubai in 2014 and stated in an interview with W Magazine in 2018 that she moved because there is a certain type of calmness she feels there and that no paparazzi or cameras are surrounding her or any other celebrities. The actress said at the time that that was a big deal for her since she never considered people taking pictures of her ‘bothering’ her, but she didn’t want people to misinterpret who she is as a person if they see her sneezing and they say that she is crying. Lindsay concluded that she does appreciate having a life where she can just go outside and not have to worry. In 2019, Lindsay Lohan, during an interview with Howard Stern, shared that she wants to date a businessman who is away from social media and is completely off the grid.
US Weekly reported that a representative for the actress confirmed the news of the couple getting hitched, but details of their marriage are unclear. Lindsay Lohan and Bader Shammas’ reports of definitely getting married come after the marriage of iconic pop star Britney Spears and Sam Asghari, which was held at Britney Spears’ Thousand Oaks house.
