Lindsay Lohan talks about her return to acting.

In a recent cover story for Cosmopolitan magazine, Lindsay Lohan spoke about her return to acting, her life in Dubai, and her marriage to Bader Shammas.

Actress Lindsay Lohan, who is ready to make her comeback on-screen with Netflix’s upcoming holiday romantic-comedy "Falling for Christmas," shared that she feels good about coming back to New York and doing shoots. She added that she loves the part where, after filming is over, the process that follows is so much fun and she feels great and excited to be back and doing all of it again.

On being asked if she has missed being in the spotlight, Lindsay said that she is surely excited to start working and being back in the spotlight as she sort of missed doing that in her past and especially with her upcoming movie in which she will be able to show her physical comedy to the audience. The actress, who has stayed away from the limelight for a long time, shared that she feels young stars have it easier compared to her or the artists that came out during the time she did have.

Lindsay explained that when they first begin in the business, nobody there of them was given a say on how to control their story, and they added that there were paps photos, which people then ran with. But, she adds, young stars now have a say in who they are and who they want to be, which she admires and values, though she confesses she is a little jealous because she did not have the same at the time. The actress stated that the generation now with social media moves quickly, and she simply tries to keep up as best she can, adding that she checks everything before posting it and sends it to people because she has to.

The actress also stated that artists must take all of what people say with a pinch of salt and simply be themselves, slowing down because everyone is moving so fast right now. When asked about trolls and online backlash, Lindsay also said people should just stop and relax. When asked about landing a romantic comedy, Lindsay said it was reassuring to learn that the film was a rom-com because it's fun to work on something light-hearted and family-oriented that brings people joy and provides a little escape.

Lindsay also mentioned how her method of acting has altered since she was five. She claims that playing a role, especially in a romantic comedy, comes naturally to her, so it doesn't feel like work. She does, however, add that when an actor looks at the character on paper and how much more they could indeed give to individuals when they perform that particular character appear on screen thru the character's eyes, that's the point where actors have a lot of room to experiment and can change the way the character is.

Lindsay Lohan shared talking about her husband, Bader Shammas, that she has an amazing husband, who is very calm and just the best. She added and explained further that she feels like she has a small group of good friends who are just good people and that is the only support that she needs: friends, family, and loved ones. Lindsay spoke about her life in Dubai as well and mentioned that she cooks a lot of pasta, an Arabic dish called machboos, which is chicken with rice and vegetables, and a good borsch soup, concluding that she sleeps early in Dubai.

Veteran actor Al Pacino is the person she gets star-struck around. The actress stated that she has sought his advice on multiple occasions, especially regarding work and personal matters, simply because he is a pleasant person to converse with. She went on to say that Al Pacino always tells her to concentrate on her art when it comes to her work, which she believes is vital adding that he mentions that she or any artist should not let anything beyond cloud their vision.

Falling For Christmas is a romantic comedy starring Lindsay Lohan, who is engaged to be married but a bratty hotel heiress who suffers from total memory loss after a skiing accident. In the days leading up to Christmas, she wakes up in the care of a good-looking, blue-collar guesthouse owner played by actor Chord Overstreet and his young daughter. She described the movie as lavish, temperamental, and glitzy, and she added that it is a soothing, incredibly touching story.

The film, directed by Janeen Damian and written by Jeff Bonnett and Ron Oliver, also stars Chord Overstreet, Jack Wagner, George Young, and Olivia Perez. "Falling for Christmas," which will be released on Netflix on November 10, will help kick off the holiday season and is the first of two original initiatives Lindsay Lohan has in the works. The second sees her reuniting with Damian on Irish Wish, which is set for release in 2023 and will undoubtedly cement Lohan's comeback era.

The actress is also an executive producer for Netflix films, and she hosts a podcast show called The Lohdown. With Lindsay Lohan, the host of the Amazon Prime reality dating show Lovestruck High and a Planet Fitness Super Bowl commercial star. When questioned about what executive producing involves, the actress clarified that it is a different role than just playing the lead in the film, describing it as being engaged in the projects at every stage: the whole casting, the editing procedure, and the production process.
