Getting to work in a Marvel movie is an experience like no other, and Ma Dong Seok is particularly thrilled with getting to be on the sets of Eternals.

The star from the latest Marvel movie recently talked about everything that entailed his experience to work at the esteemed set of the film with a star-studded cast to match the hype. On October 22, sometime before the release of the much anticipated Marvel Studios film 'Eternals,' Ma Dong Seok talked about his superhero role as he plays Gilgamesh in the fantasy Marvel Universe.

The online conference by the actor included him thanking his co-stars that work along with him Eternals. These include Angelina Jolie and Salma Hayek. He shared, "I only met the other actors once or twice before we started filming, but we soon became like family. Like good friends or family members, we were always considerate of one another throughout filming."

Talking about his time at the film sets, he also said, "It was an amazing experience, and I think those elements were captured in the film as well."

The actor further continued detailing his time during the shoot of the film by describing his dynamics with the other stars. Talking about Salma Hayek, who plays the role of Ajak in the film, Ma Dong Seok said, "She's like an older sister. She takes good care of people." Describing the Mexican American actor’s on-screen and off-screen personality, he said, "She plays a leader in the movie, but she's also someone who's like a leader in real life."

The Korean actor, also popularly known as Don Lee, gushed about Angelina Jolie and her kindness. He humble said, "She's an incredible person and an amazing actress. She's also a really good person. She's very considerate of others, and she made it possible for the other actors to act comfortably."

Continuing in the online conference, he said, "I've been in the industry for a long time, and Angelina Jolie is a global superstar, but it felt like we were friends who had known each other from a long time ago and were filming together for the first time in a long while."

He also said, "I was so grateful just for the fact that Angelina Jolie told me that she had seen my previous works and that she was a fan. I think that those aspects [of our dynamic] show up on the screen as good chemistry." The actor has had an impressive time in his career, acting in Hollywood films like Train to Busan, Derailed the Bros, The Outlaws, and OCN TV series Bad Guys and Squad 38.

But while Ma Dong Seok gushed about his castmates, he was surprisingly joined by Angelina Jolie herself at the press conference. The two friends greeted each other with a tight hug. Angelina Jolie herself shared what her experience working with Don Lee and the other members was like.

The My Pass actress began, "Working with Ma Dong Seok was like a dream. I was already a fan, and filming action scenes together was an unbelievable experience." Notably, Ma Dong Seok has done excellent work as an action hero in films like Unstoppable, The Gangster, The Cop The Devil, and Along With The Gods.

While talking about everything that her job as Eternals star entailed, Don Lee also revealed the details about how he was chosen for the esteemed role in the Marvel Studios film.

He told how initially he wasn't in the position to begin a big project and explained, "Starting about six years ago, after 'Train to Busan' became well-known abroad, I began receiving lots of offers from Hollywood. I received offers for action movies and other superhero films, but because I was working on a lot of projects in Korea, the timing never worked out."

He further revealed, "A few years ago, Marvel's casting director offered me the role of Gilgamesh in 'Eternals' and said, 'I really hope you'll give it a try. After that, I talked to director Chloe Zhao and producer Nate Moore via video conference."

He also retold the events saying that he didn't need to audition for the role as Eternals director Chloe Zhao was already impressed with his work. "I didn't audition for the role. When we talked, Chloe had already seen several of my films and finished analyzing whether I was right for the part."

He also said that the character was specifically tailored to fit his image and continued, "While creating the character, she really tailored it to my image, the characters I'd played in other movies, the kind of exercise I've been doing for a long time, and my boxing-esque action style. I'm so grateful to have joined the cast, and I think of it as an honor."
