Colson Baker and Megan Fox are engaged!
Since Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker proposed Keeping Up With Kardashians’ alum Kourtney Kardashian, everyone had been waiting for the day when Machine Gun Kelly would propose to the love of his life and he finally did.
Machine Gun Kelly finally popped the question on January 11th, 2022, as Megan Fox shared a video of the rapper-singer-actor Colson Baker proposing to her under a banyan tree. She shared the video of the romantic proposal with a beautiful caption as she wrote, "In July of 2020 we sat under this banyan tree. We asked for magic... We were oblivious to the pain we would face together in such a short, frenetic period of time. Unaware of the work and sacrifices the relationship would require from us but intoxicated off of the love. And the karma. Somehow a year and a half later, having walked through hell together, and having laughed more than I ever imagined possible, he asked me to marry him. And just as in every lifetime before this one, and as in every lifetime that will follow it, I said yes. …and then we drank each other's blood."
Machine Gun Kelly later revealed the gorgeous engagement ring in a video, ring which was customized for the actress had a diamond and an emerald stone that looked beautiful on her ring finger. Machine Gun Kelly captioned the video “yes, in this life and every life. beneath the same branches we fell in love under, i brought her back to ask her to marry me." The artist explained in the caption that the ring which Megan wore has the combination of their birthstones which symbolizes, "two halves of the same soul forming the obscure heart that is our love." He wrote, “I know tradition is one ring, but I designed it with Stephen Webster to be two: the emerald (her birth stone) and the diamond (my birthstone) set on two magnetic bands of thorns that draw together as two halves of the same soul forming the obscure heart that is our love. 1-11-2022.”
Megan Fox had previously shared that she admires Colson’s sense of style and he has influenced her fashion sense as well, "His fashion awareness is very high. He has great style. He always looks super unique and unusual. But he has the perfect body for it. He's so tall, and he has a model's body. So he can wear anything and make it look really good. I loved watching him get dressed, because he wears clothes so well."
The couple who met on the sets of ‘Midnight in the Switchgrass’, went public with their romance in June 2020. Machine Gun Kelly shared, "Our trailers were next to each other so I just waited outside on my trailer steps every day I worked just to catch one glimpse of eye contact. She has the most gorgeous eyes I've ever seen." Whereas Megan Fox shared, "The second that I was in a room with him and said hello to him and looked into his eyes, I knew right away that he was what I call a twin flame. We're two halves of the same soul I think. I said that to him almost immediately. I felt it right away." Megan later appeared in Machine Gun Kelly’s ‘Bloody Valentine’ video too.
Machine Gun Kelly recently appeared on The Drew Barrymore Show where he revealed that he only signed to work on ‘Midnight in the Switchgrass’ because of Megan Fox. He said, "We were filming a movie [Midnight in the Switchgrass], which ironically the only reason I took the movie was because they were like, 'Your scene is with Megan Fox,' and I was like, 'I'll take the movie.” He further described, "I stayed outside the trailer, and my gut is always right and I'm grateful for it because for some reason I knew she would invite me for lunch. Then, all of a sudden, someone came over and was like, 'Megan wants to know if you want to have lunch in her trailer.' And I was like, 'Oh my god, I'm so surprised. Yeah, absolutely.' "
Machine Gun Kelly shared that when he entered her trailer, she avoided the small talk and said, “How do you feel?” to which he replied, “I am lost” and Megan Fox said, “Let's find you.' And I (MGK) was like … it killed me. She was cupid."
Since they went public with their romance, the two have been inseparable and during a joint appearance with Kourtney Kardashian at the 2021 MTV Video Music Awards, Megan and Kourtney introduced Machine Gun Kelly and Travis Barker as their ‘future baby daddies’.
Colson Baker has previously mentioned that he has never known what is love until he met Megan Fox and their love is ‘real’. He said during an interview with InStyle, “When it's summer, it's the hottest summer. When it's winter, it's the most amazing chill. In the fall and spring, it's a beautiful transition. She is unlike any person I have ever met in my life. I don't think people get the opportunity to believe in real, great love, and that's what we have together.”
Megan Fox was previously married to actor Brian Austin Green with whom she shares three sons and they announced their separation after 10 years of marriage in May 2020. Machine Gun Kelly is also a great dad to Casie whom he shares with ex- Emma Cannon.
Talking about the wishes, Kim Kardashian was the first one to wish the newly engaged couple as she left a comment, "So happy for u guys!!!!" Kourtney Kardashian simply commented on hearts on the post. Drew Barrymore commented, “Congratulations to you both.”
Travis Barker commented on Machine Gun Kelly’s video, “F---- Yessss”, where has Yungblud added black hearts to his post. Singer Avril Lavigne who has recently signed to Travis Barker’s DTA Records and is working on new music with Machine Gun Kelly commented on his post, "You two are truly the perfect 'pear' congratulations on your engagement! Xx."
Comedian Whitney Cummings joked and commented on the video post, "Cut to me and Pete D fighting in a cage over who officiates this wedding.” Colson’s friend and Avril’s beau, Mod Sun also commented, "So f------ happy for both of u. Love u both congrats on this special moment. Y'all were made for each other."
