Machine Gun Kelly talks about his first-ever Grammy nomination.

The 65th Annual Grammy Awards nominations were announced on November 15, 2022, and Machine Gun Kelly was nominated for Best Rock Album for his successful and popular album, Mainstream Sellout.

Entertainment Tonight’s Kevin Frazier recently spoke to Machine Gun Kelly, who not only got nominated under the category of "Best Rock Album," but also got a chance to announce nominations for two of the categories. The Recording Academy's CEO, Harvey Mason Jr., joined the artists to celebrate their nominations.

Machine Gun Kelly said that the recording academy had given him the envelope where they read his name on it, adding that he is a hoarder, so it is going to stay in his house forever. Last year, Machine Gun Kelly took to social media to express how he felt about his music not being recognized and his successful album, Tickets to My Downfall, being snubbed. He tweeted at the time, "WTF is wrong with the Grammys?"

Kevin Frazier asked the artist if this year’s nomination seems like redemption for him, to which he said that it is a form of closure, explaining that sticking with a journey and wondering if there is a light at the end of the tunnel Talking about the tweets, Machine Gun Kelly said that he had been waiting for his music to be recognized for 10 years, and the tweet he sent out last year was just last year’s tweet, adding that those tweets have happened for sure for over 10 years.

Machine Gun Kelly announced his nomination on social media, sharing a few photos and videos from the day with the caption that read that people can call him whatever they want as long as it starts with "Grammy Nominated." He later called up some of his friends including Travis Barker to let them know the exciting news, also confirming that he will be performing at the 65th Annual Grammy Awards, which will be held on February 5, 2023, at Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena. The Black Keys, Elvis Costello & the Imposters, Idles, Ozzy Osbourne, and Spoon are also nominated alongside Machine Gun Kelly under the category of Best Rock Album.

Actress and fiancé Megan Fox took to social media to congratulate Machine Gun Kelly by sharing his picture and writing congratulations to her Grammy-nominated fiancé and hottest Edward Scissorhands cosplayer. She added that Machine Gun Kelly works harder than anyone she has ever known and has twice as much talent, mentioning that he deserves this.
