Bigg Boss OTT, the prelude to the famous show’s 15th season, is set to premiere next month. The renowned show, where rising stars and celebrities get locked in for six weeks, has garnered some of the highest ratings in Indian TV over the past few years with Salmaan Khan as its host, is set to premiere its online version with Karan Johar hosting it.

However, fans of the show were disappointed when actress Mallika Sherawat refused a chance to be on the online variant of Bigg Boss. With a report coming from the online publication SpotBoyE, apparently the actress was offered to be on the contestant in the usual manner for six weeks, along with some special powers. Mallika had expressed interest in being on the show before, but she ended up refusing, stating that she “didn’t want to be a contestant,” counting as her second refusal to appear as one of the Bigg Boss cast.

Yes, this isn’t the first time that Sherawat has refused to be on Bigg Boss. Along with the recent refusal to be on the show as a contestant, Sherawat was approached in 2019 to perform as ‘Maalkin’ on the show, with Asim Riaz, Aarti Singh, Siddarth Shukla, Mahira Sharma, and Paras Chabbra as contestants.

People were excited about her appearance, but the show ended up going with Ameesha Patel, who performed the role for far less than Sherawat’s incredibly high price. This upset many people since Mallika was perfect for playing the powerful role offered to her. Mallika did appear on the show at a later date, but only in the capacity of a guest.

Fans of Bigg Boss in 2021 were set to enjoy both season 15 and the OTT version of the show in relative comfort, with two of the most famous hosts you can find in Bollywood. The cast of contestants is star-studded, including well-known names like TV Star Arjun Bijlani, Astha Gill, and even Bollywood actress Ridhima Pandit.

The show’s propensity for getting some of recent TV and the music industry’s biggest stars makes Bigg Boss one of the most renowned of its type on Indian TV. The promise of the famous actor, producer, director, and host Karan Johar hosting the online version has fans more excited than ever before.
