Marvel Studios has finally unveiled the official character posters of The Eternals, the 10 newly released poster features all the fan-favorite superheroes coming to the MCU next month which includes Sersi (Gemma Chan), Ikaris (Richard Madden), Kingo (Kumail Nanjiani), Sprite (Lia McHugh), Phastos (Brian Tyree Henry), Makkari (Lauren Ridloff), Druig (Barry Keoghan), Gilgamesh (Don Lee), Ajak (Salma Hayek), and Thena (Angelina Jolie). The super-detailed posters dropped by the studio gives a brief look at the superhero characters.

As the film is less than a month away from releasing in theatres around the world, Marvel Studios has started promoting the film extensively, in one such promotional event of the film, director Chloe Zhao talked about the possible timeline of the film that the film would take place in.

She said, "The audience will understand why, but how complicated not interfering made them feel. We explore that. You'll see that in the film. The Eternals were instructed not to interfere with any human conflict unless Deviants are involved. There's a reason why that's the case. And that was the instruction from the prime Celestial Arishem."

Zhao also went to share her excitement and reveal that the film will take place before the birth of the mighty supervillain Thanos, who the fans got to see in studios two superhit Avengers Infinity War and Avengers Endgame. "What excited me is the idea of going back in time, and exploring [the time] before Thanos was born, before anyone was born," she continued. "Where does the MCU go back in time? And that brings us to the mythology of the Celestials. Anything involving the Celestials is going to be at a huge scale level of complication, let's put it that way."

Prior to her comments on the timeline of the film, Zhao was also seen sharing her experience while filming the much-awaited superhero movie in an interview.

She explained that the film has been an enjoyable and entirely different ride for her as she never had the chance to work on such a complex project.

"It was probably the windiest cliff that I have ever been on," Zhao said. She added, "You'd have to have a helicopter to achieve the wind that we had that day. We had our whole cast standing on that cliff in their costumes, and we played really loud operatic music on the speaker, just blasting that through the wind."

Zhao also went on to say that the ancient-looking landscape that she got the film to shoot with the cast and crew was perfect and the audience will love it. She said, "Seeing my cast coming together in formation as the Eternals, with the beauty of this ancient-looking landscape, and the ocean and the sky, that was… [Laughs] I mean, I couldn't stand because I felt like I was getting lifted by the wind. But other than that, it was pretty awesome."

With the film featuring Salma Hayek in the role of Ajak, Angelina Jolie in the role of Thena, Brian Tyree Henry in the role of Phastos, Richard Madden in the role of Ikaris, Gemma Chan in the role of Sersi, Lauren Ridloff in the role of Makkari, Lia McHugh in the role of Sprite, Kumail Nanjiani in the role of Kingo, Barry Keoghan in the role of Druig, Don Lee in the role of Gilgamesh, Kit Harington in the role of Dane Whitman with additional actors including Harish Patel, Haaz Steiman as Phastos' husband, Ozer Ercan as a smuggler and Zain Al Rafeea in an unknown role, it is inspired by the fictional comic book superheroes Eternals that was first seen in the famous American comic book publication named Marvel Comics cover Eternals #1 released in July 1976 and was created by the legendary artist and writer Jack Kirby.

Patrick Burleigh, Ryan Firpo, and Kaz Firpo are the screenplay writer of the film.
