The show was currently much in the news because of the exit of Mike Richards (host and executive producer of the show) and the entry of Mayim Bialik as the temporary host. Upon being asked about her views to host the show, Mayim replied with utmost happiness that she is willing to host the show ‘Jeopardy!’ and that too for full-time!

As per Bialik’s statement to USA Today, she was highly gratified to be able to fill in for the show as a guest host and saw it as a huge accomplishment. She found this feat unbelievable and remarks that out of all the parts she has played in acting, in advocacy as well as academic things, this (the part of guest host in Jeopardy) is the most globally understood and recognized thing she has been a part of. She finds it absolutely incredible and is thankful for the same.

She loved her role there so much that she even cried for two days after leaving the show as she never wanted to get separated from the show and the people present there. In short, she was way too much attached to the show as a temporary host, which may sound weird to some.

The story of the host succession of the show is pretty interesting. Mike Richards was announced as the host in august after the demise of the “longtime host” Alex Trebek, who took his last breath last November. But soon enough (in a span fewer than two weeks), Richards took a step back because of his controversy of passing on comments over homeless people, Jewish people, and also disparaging women.

The host-cum-producer remained to be the executive producer after his stepping back from the role of the host but soon enough he was removed from that role too. Finally, the succession for the “throne of the host” was passed on to Mayim Bialik but that too on a temporary basis.

This 45-year-old actress cum host is known for her roles in varied movies and TV shows like The Big Bang Theory, Blossom, Beaches, Young Sheldon, As Sick As They Made Us, Hey Arnold!, Call Me Kat, Molloy, Pumpkinhead, Doogie Howser, M.D., and many others.

Moving on to the history of the three remarkable victories of the show, the $1M mark was succeeded by two other personalities before Matt namely, Ken Jennings (who won $2,520,700 in a 74-game streak) and James Holzhauer ( who won $2,462,216 over a total of 32 wins).
