After receiving cancer treatment last month, NeNe's husband is now at home. He was in remission and was again being treated. On Thursday, 29.07.21, she pulled out of hosting 'The Talk' after receiving the good news that Gregg had been discharged. Nene responded to a question about why she wasn't there as advertised: "I was supposed to host The Talk today." However, I was pleasantly surprised to learn that Gregg was returning home from the hospital after 6 weeks. 

NeNe must not have expected Gregg would be in hospital for so many days. After revealing that Gregg's cancer had returned, she said that Gregg had previously undergone a similar procedure and was an inpatient for just over two weeks.

She replied, "He's in hospital." He was in the hospital and will return tomorrow.

"I am confident he'll be back in about a week. His cancer returned, so he had to have surgery.

She said this in an Instagram Live conversation with The Jasmine Brand: "He's super tiny. He is different from anyone who has ever had cancer. He's different. Gregg would love it if everyone prayed for him. We pray for his strength. “And pray also for me."

Gregg was declared in remission following treatment in May 2019.

NeNe posted a picture on Instagram of Gregg holding a sign reading: "No Cancer Found!" Praise God..."NeNe later clarified some of the speculations about Gregg's health via an Instagram post. This was after a report suggested that Gregg had been hospitalized with heart problems and food poisoning. He doesn't have food poisoning, and he never has." She wrote. She expressed gratitude for all the love and support Gregg has received since his recent illness. "Thanks to everyone who has sent positive and prayer vibes and well wishes!" She added. NeNe had previously discussed Gregg's health issues on RHOA last season when Gregg was admitted to the hospital to undergo surgery to determine if there were any blockages in his heart. NeNe spoke to The Daily Dish in January and shared that Gregg was much better. "He's doing well. He's doing great. He doesn't eat the right way because he likes playing games. However, he's doing great," she stated. "I'm like, Look, this is your life now. I'm not going to stand over you and say, "Don't eat this!
