Ahead of the movie’s release, Netflix held the premiere of the action movie "Red Notice" on Wednesday, with co-stars Gal Gadot, Ryan Reynolds, and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson walking the red carpet with plenty of fire in their coordinating looks.

Gal Gadot shined in a ruby-colored dress with a thigh-high split made by Loewe, while the other actors donned all-red ensembles. Silver Stuart Weitzman heels and a total of 36 carats in diamond Tiffany & Co. jewellery added even more glitz to the sequined ensemble.

Ryan Reynolds donned a velvet three-piece Giorgio Armani suit, paired with a red patterned tie, whereas Dwayne Johnson rocked the red carpet in a wine-colored velvet suit with a white shirt. Dwayne’s stylist, Ilaria Urbinati, shared with Page Six that she liked to experiment with color choices. She added, "It’s fun to play with people’s idea of his image. We started playing with color. He’s worn chartreuse, he’s worn pink, he’s worn powder blue, and he still looks very masculine and very cool. "

Gal Gadot’s husband, Yaron Varsano, with whom she recently welcomed her third baby, daughter Danielle in June, accompanied her on the premiere. Among the other celebrities who attended the film's premiere included director Rawson Marshall Thurber, and co-star Chris Diamantopoulos, as well as Ata Johnson, Lil Rel Howery, Molly Sims, and Scott Stuber.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Gal Gadot said, "Since the Oscars, this is the largest carpet I've seen. Before COVID, there were the Oscars". The movie's stars took turns speaking with Sylvester and answering questions from both sitting and virtual fans. Dwayne Johnson delivered the announcement during his time in the spotlight, saying, "This is the largest event Netflix has ever had – ever!"

Later, during a chat with The Hollywood Reporter, Dwayne Johnson explained what that means to him, both as a star and a producer on the film alongside Beau Flynn, Seven Bucks Prods. Partners Dany and Hiram Garcia, Thurber, Scott Sheldon, and David Householter. He said, "I was telling Ted Sarandos earlier that I really feel it’s reflective of the ambition that the company has, not only to make great movies but also to deliver for people. And the surprises are in there for the audience, too. People are going to have to watch."

Furthermore, Dwayne spoke about his interactions with Ryan Reynolds, "Between this movie and Jungle Cruise with [Emily Blunt], I have not laughed more. With Ryan, we have great chemistry, and not only that, we have great trust. I’ve known him for 20 years, but in terms of being a star, the truth is when you work with someone of Ryan Reynolds' caliber or at his level, a lot of actors that I’ve worked with don’t necessarily have a real funny bone or a real sense of humor. Ryan has that". Dwayne Johnson continued, "But dude, as he likes to say, we wasted millions of dollars of Netflix’s money by laughing constantly and ruining takes."

Ryan Reynolds also spoke about his time with Dwayne Johnson and recalled that it was 21 years ago when the two superstars met during respective press tours: Ryan Reynolds for "Van Wilder", and Dwayne Johnson for "Scorpion King". He added, "We hit it off and have been friends ever since. There’s such an easy, crazy shorthand between us when we’re on set. We had it on Hobbs and Shaw, and we knew we’d have it here as well."

The significant difference this time was managing the work amid a deadly pandemic that caused the crew to stay in a bubble for months while filming. Ryan Reynolds made personal movies for each crew member that they could send to anyone in their lives to help lessen the impact. Reynolds recorded more than 400, as THR has reported. "Their families were often a mile away, in a vehicle, and they couldn't go anyplace because of the lockdown," he recounted. "It was an honor to be a part of it. I basically did it whenever I could in between takes. It was just nice. It may appear to be a lot, yet it was nothing."

"Red Notice", stars Dwayne Johnson as FBI top profiler John Hartley, who is pursued by Interpol after receiving a Red Notice, the highest level warrant for a most-wanted person. His global chase leads him to the heart of a heist, forcing him to team up with Nolan Booth (Ryan Reynolds), the world's finest art thief, to apprehend The Bishop, the world's most wanted art thief (Gal Gadot). Oh, and Thurber also has a job as an "exhausted film director," which he said was a stretch.

Thurber said during the premiere, "I feel like I’ve been preparing my whole life", clearing out that he didn’t have to exhaust himself much to get his cast because all three lead actors were his first choices for the roles. He added, "And certainly for this entire production, this was a real challenge. We were halfway through shooting when the pandemic hit. We had to shut down. So it was exhausting, but I always try to have a little cameo if I can. And Dwayne Johnson made it easy for me. I’m at the bar and that’s where I’m most comfortable."

Danny Garcia said, "There’s no version in our industry where you commit to using individuals, their skills, and talents, and you don’t take ownership of their wellbeing and safety. It’s just part of doing business, and it’s the right way to do business." She further said that she was a little emotional while watching the movie at the premiere because of what she went through in making it. She added, "Our crew was phenomenal and so was our talent — they all just came through and delivered. So to have this land in this manner here tonight and have a premiere like this, feels appropriate and so open and so Hollywood".

Beau Flynn was praised for paying their crew for two months right after they shut down last March while they figured out how best to proceed. They added, "We took a weekend off, and we were right back at it. We spent six months trying to figure out how to get the movie back, all over Zoom. They paid our crew for two months while we were down, over 700 people. That was amazing because a lot of people were not prepared. They thought they had a big job ahead of them, and then it was just gone in a day. It really incentivized everyone to work really hard."

Netflix arranged a VIP reception ahead of the film's premiere, complete with dueling bars serving Dwayne Johnson's Teremana Tequila from a "Mana Mobile" and Ryan Reynolds' Aviation Gin across the street. "Having an event like today, with all of this going on, it's just a sign that we're coming back to a new normal," Hiram Garcia explained. "And to be able to have a premiere this big and open in the wild is quite awesome." Flynn focused heavily on the word "epic" and said, "It's also really cool, especially on COVID's back." To be here, everyone had to present their vaccination cards and get tested, and they went for it, but it felt fantastic. We're in this business for a reason, rig.
