Nicki Minaj shared a major health and lifestyle update with fans on social media where she mentioned she stays happy when she is sober now.
On April 21st, a fan asked her on social media if she was high, to which she replied that she was now sober and loving life and asked the fan about them. Her answer was followed up by another tweet in which she mentioned that she used to be happy when she was high, but now she is happy when she is sober. "No judgement to anyone," Nicki added, advising everyone to be gentle with one another.
In the following tweet, the rapper explained that why she might appear to be high is because of her eyes, which are naturally like that, and people just assume that she is high, especially when she is not wearing any makeup. Nicki Minaj further added that her eyes are gray and she was born in the Caribbean Islands of Cuba. The rapper concluded that she was simply happy and sober.
The sources close to Nicki Minaj shared that for Nicki, the choice to not get high and choose a sober path arrived when she became a mother and welcomed her son with husband Kenneth Petty in 2020. She loves being a mother, and during her appearance on the Late Late Show with James Corden, she explained that bringing a baby into the world has helped her look good to people and more good in the universe. The rapper added that since becoming a mother, she has noticed that she is more forgiving and when she looks at him, she is reminded of the entire blessing.
A source close to the rapper backed up the sentiment she shared and added that since she has become a mother, she is loving every minute of it and just enjoying her life. The source shared that Nicki is taking things amazingly well and she feels blessed and grateful to have time to spend with her little one. The rapper is known for openly talking about marijuana, but she has shifted her lifestyle since becoming a mother.
Also, recently, Nicki shot some people on social media asking them to stop dragging her name in conversations that are not related to her. She specifically asked people to keep her name out of their conversations.
Nicki wrote in her tweets that many of them have not yet experienced Nicki Minaj getting her foot on a girl's neck era, and it shows that they will be getting preggers from Nicki Minaj from now on. (Maybe referring to her moods). These tweets come after Rubi Rose’s interview with "Big Facts Podcast", where Rubi Rose spoke about dating and mentioned that they assumed dynamics between Nicki Minaj and her husband.
Rubi during the podcast said that 'if they don’t, we can work on it. I will help, of course, but I don’t want to be the man in the relationship, but I will. I see Nicki Minaj is happy’. Later she clarified that her comments weren’t said negatively but what she meant was that one can be happy with a man who earns less than the woman and added that she’ll say Britney Spears next time.
