Nikki Bella shares health updates about Artem Chigvintsev.
Recently during attending Michael Rubin’s Fanatics Super Bowl Party in Culver City, California, Nikki Bella got candid about her fiancé Artem Chigvintsev’s health along with her wedding plans.
Artem Chigvintsev announced last month that he is going to step away from The Dancing With the Stars: Live Tour, due to unexpected health issues, and later Artem revealed that he was suffering from pneumonia. Nikki Bella shared that Artem still has pneumonia and the couple is looking forward to getting the results on Monday or Tuesday to have a little more clarity on his health.
Artem shared last month via his social media story, "Hi everyone, just wanted to give you a little update on my wellbeing. So, I had another X-ray done yesterday, and it came back still positive for pneumonia, so I just got another set of antibiotics. This is, of course, number two. Hopefully, this one will do the magic, will do the trick, to kick out the pneumonia out of my lungs. So that's where I'm at. I hope everyone is staying safe and healthy.”
Nikki said, "He'll get his lungs rescanned and we'll find out if they're better if the swelling goes down. Fingers crossed that the swelling goes down and we get good news.” Nikki’s twin sister Brie Bella also added, “And that his cough goes away." Brie Bella mentioned to the Us Weekly previously, “He’s doing a lot better, which is so great. I know it’s really made him feel good seeing everyone just reaching out and thinking of him and sending their thoughts and prayers his way.”
Sharing about their wedding plans, Nikki Bella shared that they are looking at Paris for their wedding. Former WWE wrestler said, "We feel like it's the easiest to get his parents there. We're figuring out dates, so we'll see, but we're thinking that Paris would be the perfect place." She also shared that she would love to get married in the coming few months but also added that there are a few complications right now and they have to consider them as well. Nikki Bella mentioned that she wants her wedding day to be a big celebration and Brie added that “Nikki always goes big.” Nikki Bella added lastly, "I always go big. The people attending might be small but it will still be big."
Nikki Bella along with Brie Bella returned to WWE television at the WWE Royal Rumble last month and is working as a celebrity judge on the upcoming season of America’s Got Talent: Extreme. The sisters who appeared on the red carpet of Michael Rubin’s Fanatics Super Bowl LVI party seemed to have coordinated their outfits, which Brie later mentioned that she personally picked out for herself and her sister. She said, “It was planned. I actually got them for us. I wanted to do like a twin, Destiny’s Child theme … I guess that’s her Valentine’s Day gift.”
Nikki Bella and Artem Chigvintsev met during their time on Dancing With The Stars and in 2019 multiple sources confirmed their romance. The news of Nikki Bella’s romance came after nine-month after Nikki Bella and John Cena called off their engagement. In July 2019, the couple made their official red carpet debut at the Kids’ Choice Sports Awards, and in October 2019, Nikki Bella shared about Artem at the Girl Up #GirlHero Awards and said, “He lets me be me. The attention of what he gives me with my soul, with my personal life, my business life. Like, I have never met anyone who’s so supportive and I have no fear that he’s ever going to leave me for my imperfections, which is so amazing.”
In January 2020, the couple got engaged and Nikki Bella took to her social media to announce the news to the world, “I said yes in France in November! We have been trying to keep it a secret but really wanted to share our excitement for the New Year!" Artem wrote, "You are the best thing that has ever happened to me. So excited for what’s to come I love you more then [sic] anything and thank you for saying Yes.” Soon the couple announced that they were expecting a baby and in July 2020, they welcomed a baby boy, Teo.
In November 2021, Nikki Bella shared why they delayed their wedding, "The one promise I made [Artem] before we can plan, is that his parents can attend, and with where the world's at right now and trying to get two Russian parents into the country, it's almost impossible. So, the day I can get two visas, is the day we will set our date and say, 'I do.'" She also added, “I think last year I said Thanksgiving, right? And I want to say next Thanksgiving. I can't believe it's been a year, but I really do want to get married. I mean, selfishly, I just want to have that, like, one big day about me, I can't wait for that and to wear that dress, but I do want to marry Artem."
