Olivia Wilde is addressing splitting up with Jason Sudeikis.

During a recent interview with Variety, actress-director Olivia Wilde talked about her relationship with ex-fiance and Ted Lasso actor Jason Sudeikis and the fact that she was served with custody papers from him while she was at CinemaCon speaking to the audience to promote her movie, "Don’t Worry, Darling," to exhibitors.

Olivia Wilde said that it was her workplace and that in any other work it would be seen as an attack, adding that the entire situation was upsetting. The actress stated that it shouldn't have been possible and that there was a significant security breach, which is terrifying. She also mentioned the obstacles one had to overcome to enter the room with several badges, COVID tests that had to be taken in advance, and wristbands that were required to enter the event. According to Olivia Wilde, it was something that needed consideration.

The actress-director was commended for maintaining her composure during her presentation at CinemaCon despite being handed a suspicious package in the middle of it. She expressed her chagrin at being diverted from the work of the individuals and the studio she was representing on stage by the unpleasantness of serving her papers. The attempt to sabotage was cruel, Olivia continued, but she had a task to perform and is not easily deterred from her course of action. She said that there was a reason why they broke up, adding that it was heartbreaking and completely unexpected to her.

Jason Sudeikis on his part had mentioned in another interview that he did not try to sabotage her presentation and he had no idea that the papers were going to be delivered to her the way they did and he apologized for it. The actor said that he knew how important the presentation was to Olivia Wilde and he would never do something like that to her.

Talking about the kids, Olivia Wilde said that they both have custody of them and the kids go back and forth between her and Jason Sudeikis week to week. When Olivia Wilde is with her kids, she mentions that she spends her entire time with them. She claims to cook them breakfast every morning, never skips bedtime, and drive them themselves to school. She also states the kids are her entire world and her closest friends. Olivia Wilde said during the interview that the only people who suffered because of what happened at CinemaCon are the kids who will have to see that and they shouldn’t ever have to know that it has happened.

The actress mentioned that for her it was appalling, but the victims were an 8-year-old Otis and a 5-year-old Daisy, and it made her sad. Olivia added that she chose to be an actress and willingly walked into the spotlight, but it’s not something that her children chose or asked for, and whenever the kids are dragged into the limelight when it is not needed, it pains her deeply.

Olivia Wilde and Jason Sudeikis were together from 2011 to 2020 and now is currently dating former One Directioner singer Harry Styles, who also stars in her movie. When asked about her relationship with him, Olivia said that both of them go out of their ways to protect their relationship and added that it’s out of experience but also just out of deep love.

Olivia and Harry’s relationship has not only grabbed the attention of the public but also criticism about which she claimed that during the past two years, her family has undergone a sort of reconstruction and revolution that ought to have been an intimate experience but has not been. She added that when people see her not with her children, they frequently give her a look or comment on a post asking how could she. She claimed that what hurts her the most is when women humiliate or condemn her for making a decision that was for her health and happiness.

According to a source who spoke with ET in August, Olivia Wilde and Jason Sudeikis are mostly concerned with their kids and have little to no touch or communication with one another. Although Jason and Olivia admitted that their connection is extremely uncomfortable and that they strive to avoid having any direct contact, they both care about their children. For the benefit of their children, they are attempting to establish a workable, stable, and healthy co-parenting routine and timetable.
