Pardison "Pardi" Fontaine has something to say.

Pardison "Pardi" Fontaine, Megan Thee Stallion's boyfriend, took to Instagram to share a story in reaction to singer Tory Lanez's misdemeanor assault trial for having shot his girlfriend in the foot in July 2020 in the Hollywood Hills.

Pardison "Pardi" Fontaine wrote that his heart goes out to anyone woman, notably those of color, who has experienced severe injustice. He continued by pointing out that when they finally find the confidence to speak up, it does seem they are going to be disparaged. Megan's boyfriend continued by stating that the woman's legitimacy will be brought into question, and their entire history will be critiqued, noting that women who speak up can transform from victim to defendant in the eyes of the public in a flash.

He continued to tell anyone who had a mother, sister, daughter, aunt or niece that he was praying for their protection, adding that he would not wish this upon anyone. Megan Thee Stallion testified alongside Los Angeles County Deputy District Attorney Kathy Ta on day 2 of the trial at the Clara Shortridge Foltz Criminal Justice Center in Los Angeles that every man in a position of power in the music biz has chosen to undertake his (Tory Lanez's) side and that neither a single day ends up going by when she has not labeled a liar and that this entire situation about who she was engaging in a sexual relationship with or not was who gunned down on her. Megan expressed her frustration by stating that she does not understand why is she being treated like a villain here.

Megan Thee Stallion had confirmed earlier that day that she and the accused singer Tory Lanez were engaged in a sexual relationship at the time of the incident which she had initially rejected. She went on to say that she'd just completed a song with Beyonce and now she appears to know Megan was shot, but she did not want to speak anything at all to her out of humiliation. While on trial, the rapper mentioned that she did something that she had always wanted to do, but that it will now be overlooked by the trial. She clearly stated that the circumstance has only had a negative impact on her life, as opposed to Tory Lanez's, who has received more media attention.

Megan said that while she has been described as a villain, the accused has turned into a hero. During her testimony, Megan was asked if she was more popular and successful than Tory Lanez at the time of the alleged shooting. Tory Lanez's blank expression turned into a stunned and gobsmacked reaction after she convincingly said "yes," eventually mouthing "Okay" as she proceeded on the stand. The singer also stated that the court case and the entire incident have attracted unwelcome publicity to her and have had an impact on her boyfriend.

She went on to say that she feels appalled and dirty, that her partner is uncomfortable because of the media attention of Megan's sexual past, and that she can't even be happy so even though she does not want to talk to relatives or friends about the purported shooting. While testifying about the night, Megan said that Tory Lanez was holding the gun pointing towards her and said 'Dance Bitch' and then fired his gun. The WAP rapper said that at that moment she froze, she was shocked and was not really sure if it was happening, and then she saw the blood.

Singer Tory Lanez, real name Daystar Peterson, was charged with assault with a semi-auto firearm, personal use of a fully automatic weapon, and holding a filled, unlicensed gun in a vehicle in October 2020. In November 2020, Tory Lanez did not plead guilty to both charges and was put under house arrest and electronic surveillance in October 2022. Deputy District Attorney Alexander Bott argued that he was a threat to society and had earlier disobeyed court orders never to come within 100 yards of Megan. According to Rolling Stone, Tory Lanez's house arrest was raised earlier in the month to allow him to start preparing for trial.
