Season four of Netflix's highly anticipated psychological thriller show "You," starring Pen Badgley, was recently released, and the actor revealed a special request he had before filming season four. Penn Badgley plays Joe Golberg on the show, which has not shied away from including gratuitous scenes of oral and penetrative sex, masturbation, and even a foursome with most, if not all.
Penn Badgley disclosed on a recent episode of Stitcher Studios' Podcrushed podcast that he had demanded the show creator limit his sex scenes on the show before actually filming season 4. He clarified that he told Sera Gamble that he simply did not want to perform more intimate scenes and that this was a choice that he made before accepting the role on the show.
Penn stated that he does not believe he has ever noted it publicly, but one of the most critical questions is whether he wants to return to a career in which he is frequently the romantic lead. The actor went on to say that fidelity in any connection, particularly a marriage, is very important to him and that it reached the point where he didn't want to do it anymore, so he told Sera that his urge would be zero intimate scenes, to move on from 100 to zero.
The actor went on to say that he realized his special request might not be feasible because he knew exactly what he was obtaining when he signed the agreement for the show and that one could not take this element out of the concept's DNA, therefore how much less can they make it? Penn stated that Sera Gamble did not really bat an eye, however, she was relieved that he was forthright, and she felt empowered.
He went on to say that their show's creator had a favorable reception, and they returned with a fantastic reduction. Penn Badgley is married to Domino Kirke and has two sons, James and Cassius. Cassius Kirke is Domino Kirke's son from a former relationship. In terms of the series' newest plot line, the artist admitted to ET in an interview that viewers will likely have questions after watching the first five episodes of the fourth season, which is currently airing on Netflix.
Penn stated that if individuals have questions, they will indeed be answered and that they will start wondering, "What the hell?" What specifically is going on? The actor said that it will do whatever the show seems to do best in a few more episodes. Penn Badgley appears to believe that in episode 8, viewers will discover a side of Joe that they have never witnessed before. The show seems to do something never done before, and he finds it extremely rewarding.
Season 4 of You on Netflix is split into two parts, the first of which is now broadcasting and the second of which is set to be slated to launch on March 9. Each segment has five episodes.
