Prince Harry opens up about his thoughts and feelings towards Queen Consort Camilla.

During an interview with Good Morning America, Prince Harry shared with Michael Strahan his honest feelings towards Queen Consort Camilla, saying that he does not look at her as an evil stepmother but rather as someone who is married into the institution and has done everything she could have to improve her reputation.

King Charles III married Camilla Parker Bowles in 2005, and she received the title of Duchess of Cornwall. After the sad demise of Queen Elizabeth, Charles became King Charles III and bestowed the title of Queen Consort on Camilla. Before her death, Queen Elizabeth reportedly stated that it had been her genuine desire that Camilla be recognized as Queen Consort as she remains her honorable service.

Harry stated that he and his brother had attempted to convince their father that the marriage would cause more harm than good and that if he was now with his person, surely that was enough. He added that they felt like why does their father need to go that far when he doesn’t necessarily need to?

He later added that they also wanted their father to be happy. Michael Strahan quoted a line from Prince Harry's memoir "Spare" that read that, strangely, he even wanted Camilla to be happy, adding that maybe she would have been less dangerous if she was happy, and went on to ask Harry that, when King Charles married Camilla, he wrote that he had complex feelings about going to live with a stepmother who he thought had recently sacrificed her on her PR altar, and asking what she did to make him feel the way.

Prince responded that, as the third person in his mothers ’ and fathers' marriage, he does have a great deal of compassion for her, that she had a public image or an image to recover, and that whatever discussions happened, whatever bargains or trading was made straight from the beginning, she was guided to believe that would be the best way to carry out. In an interview with Anderson Cooper, Prince Harry stated that if a member of the royal family is misled into thinking that appearing on the front page and getting positive headlines and articles told about them will improve their public image or increase their likelihood of being accepted as a monarch by the British public, then that is precisely what they will do.

The third person in King Charles III and late Princess Diana's marriage is a reference to Princess Diana's infamous 1995 Panorama interview, in which she revealed that she was feeling a little crowded because her marriage had three people involved, referring to Camilla and Charles' years-long relationship, which overlapped with her marriage to the royal. Michael asked Harry about the current dynamics with the Queen Consort, to which he said that they haven’t spoken for a long time but added that he loves every member of his family despite the differences.

Prince Harry clarified that he does not see her as an evil stepmother, so whenever they meet, they are perfectly pleasant with each other. Strahan stated in a different voiceover that as Harry's relationship with Meghan became more significant and dominated big stories, Harry appears to believe his father and Camilla had already become jealous. In his interview with Anderson Cooper, Harry discussed the "dangerous" quote, trying to explain that what he means to say was that she is dangerous because of her connection with the British press.

Harry went on to say that she needed to rehabilitate her image, which made her dangerous due to the links she was making in the British press. Both parties voiced an open willingness to exchange information. And with a family based on the power structure and her on her way towards becoming queen consort, there might be people or bodies left on the street as a result.

Camilla's image was tarnished for many years by her relationship with King Charles, which resulted in the disclosure of an extremely embarrassing discussion regarding tampons. She was designated a "home wrecker" and was frequently especially in comparison negatively to Princess Diana, who died in August 1997.

Prince Harry's 'Spare' is out on 10th January!
