The famous Canadian actor, Ryan Reynolds was recently seen playing the role of an NPC, that is a 'Non-Player Character" in the movie Free Guy released on August 13, 2021, in US theatres.

The movie is based on the plot of a video game, technically like the mix of two famous games namely GTA ad Fortnite with a twist. The twist here is that no one plays a video game in the movie, instead, the movie itself is shown as a video game consisting of human players roaming freely in their world and doing things irrationally, in short, it includes indiscriminate shooting and doing random things like firing rocket launchers into buildings aimlessly, etc.

The movie films Ryan Reynolds in the role of a bank teller who discovers himself to be an NPC in the game who decides to take the charge in his hands and become the hero of his life rather than being merely a background player.

This all happens when the Guy (bank teller) gains consciousness of his status as an NPC. In a press conference, Ryan remarked that playing such a character who is naive and innocent, like a "4-year-old", was a wonderful experience that will be cherished by him forever.

Here, see a still from the film where sheer innocence can be seen on the Guy's face.

The film showed a positive response and a good rating, 7.6 / 10 on IMDb to be specific. This comedy and action movie also witness a sequence of romance once the 4-year-old gains consciousness, making this rom-com action movie a must-watch for all age groups.

It won't be wrong to say that this fresh, funny, clever and in all a unique film has stolen many hearts with its concept and acting with many more to go.
