Sanjay Leela Bhansali's dream project Inshallah was revealed in 2019, and Salman Khan was finalised as the lead role. But due to creative differences between Bhansali and Salman, the project was delayed, and people assumed that the movie is dead. Inshallah was highly anticipated as the film would bring back the magical duo of Salman and Bhansali that ruled the box office with Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. The duo had also worked in movies like Sawariya and Khamoshi.

The highly anticipated movie is believed to be back on track if reports are to be believed. Bhansali is all set to cast Hritik Roshan and Alia Bhatt for the role, and according to the latest reports, Hritik has read the script and already liked it.

Alia was already chosen for this role in 2019, and the male lead was only left to be decided. After roping in Hritik, the project has been revived once again and should be on the floor till the latter half of 2022. Alia and Bhansali recently did their first project together in the form of highly awaited Gangubai Kathiawadi.

Currently, Bhansali is working on a web series directed by Vibhu Puri called Heera Mandi. The web series is also set to release very soon, and then the director is believed to work on the shelved project of Inshallah with Hritik and Alia.

Hritik is also all set to work on the project after he completes the shoot for the remake of Vikram Vedha and Fighter. It should be noted that the audiences loved the actor-director duo of Hritik and Bhanshali in the form of Guzarish.
