Savannah Chrisley talks about her mental health struggles.

In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight's Deidre Behar, actress Savannah Chrisley opened up about her mental health problems and how the family is navigating the tax fraud sentence of her parents, Todd and Julie.

She said that she just got to a point where she needed an outlet for herself, and that is what she found with her "Unlocked" podcast, adding that for her, her mental health is more important than all these other projects that she has going on, and she needs an outlet to voice how she is feeling. The host added that she thought there was a high chance that if she was feeling this way, many other people were feeling the same way. So she wants to take what she is going through and make a difference in even one person’s life.

The actress further mentioned that Chrisley Knows Best never hit deep, and so she had all these things "bottled up" that were never shared. She mentioned that she never got to tell her truth or what people did to her, and now it's like, this is the truth, adding that it's not to bash anyone, it's just the truth. So if the shoe fits, wear it.

Savannah recalls in her podcast, she mentions being in a foul mood and not replying to text messages or social invitations. The episodes will be released every Tuesday, and she has stated that she will not hold it back, and that frailty will be at the heart of this project. She sincerely hope that it will benefit everyone as much as it has helped her. She also told Deidre Behar that when anything bad happens, she is very good at isolating and just going into a fix-it mode, adding that she is focused on fixing things and does not take time to consider how to feel her emotions.

Savannah stated in her next episode that she will be discussing her suicide and her challenges, stating that no matter how beautiful things appear on the outside and how great life is, people still struggle. Savannah reveals that going to therapy, going on long walks with a weighted vest, no less, and surrounding herself with friends is what truly brought her out of her depression. It was also the sheer determination to get up and face her sadness head-on.

The actress also spoke about how she has been dealing with her parents' tax fraud sentence, explaining that the legal battle has been massive online but she has to deal with it from a child's perspective. She adds that there are a lot of people who refuse to educate themselves and are just going to believe the first thing they read. And for her, she is not going to do that; it was just so hard to see all the negativity.

Showing support for her parents, Savannah continues to share that she knows their hearts and knows the things that they are and are not capable of, and it was just really, really difficult to not be able to state their truth. She further mentioned asking how Todd and Julie are navigating the entire situation, explaining that they're pushing through and that they all, as a family, are at a place where they've put their faith in God. She added that they don't put their faith in the system.

Savannah explained that she has never seen two people, like her parents, be so steadfast in their faith and prayer that they are literally on their knees every morning praying. It's just so admirable, and that's kind of just her focus. Just watching them and still learning and growing from them in times like this, and just kind of staying strong through it all and knowing that, in the end, the truth will prevail. And it may get harder before it gets easier, but they have faith.

She explained that she is not going to say that she is doing well because that is not the truth, mentioning that she is used to just putting on a fake smile all the time and that her emotions and feelings just hide behind it, but with her podcast, she is going to work through her emotions as she feels them.
