Scarlett Johannson and The Walt Disney Company have finally come to an agreement with the company for her lawsuit that she filed back in July this year.  While the details of the settlements have not been revealed, the 36-year-old Johansson did share some insights.

She said, "I am happy to have resolved our differences with Disney." The Marvel actress added, "I'm incredibly proud of the work we've done together over the years and have greatly enjoyed my creative relationship with the team. I look forward to continuing our collaboration in years to come."

Disney's chairman Alan Bergman responded to her statement saying, I'm very pleased that we have been able to come to a mutual agreement with Scarlett Johansson regarding Black Widow,"

Bergman added, "We appreciate her contributions to the Marvel Cinematic Universe and look forward to working together on a number of upcoming projects, including Disney's Tower of Terror."

Prior to the settlement of Johansson and Disney, the Chief Executive Officer of Walt Disney Company Bob Chapak defended the company at the Goldman Sachs Communacopia Conference. Chapak while addressing the conference shared that a reset for its contract policy is currently under progress and the company will soon be coming out with it.

The 61-year-old Chapak said, “Certainly the world is changing, and the talent deals going forward will have to reflect the fact that the world is changing."

He further added, "So, we’re sort of putting a square peg in a round hole right now where we’ve got a deal conceived under a certain set of conditions, that actually results in a movie that is being released in a completely different set of conditions.”

“So there’s a bit of a reset going on right now," he continued. "Ultimately, we’ll think about that as we do our future talent deals and plan for that and make sure that’s incorporated."

The American actress has been praised by several actors and actresses in the industry for her lawsuit. Recently, she was praised by legendary actress Jamie Lee Curtis. The 62-year-old wrote a piece in the Time magazine praising Scarlett Johansson.

She said, "I recently watched her own the screen as the Black Widow, who exacts revenge on a powerful figure who manipulates (emphasis on man) women to fight for him,"

The legendary actress added, "And then I saw her brilliant response to a real-life manipulation (same emphasis), when she filed a breach-of-contract lawsuit against the studio, alleging its decision to release the film simultaneously in theatres and on streaming cost her substantial loss in pay."

She added, 'Whether as an assassin with a conscience, an actor with an emotional center or, having just given birth to her second child, a fierce mother, the message is clear: Don't f**k with this mama bear.'

Johansson filed a lawsuit against The Walt Disney Company back in July for intentional interference with contractual relations and inducing a breach of contract. She claimed that the media company violated the contract policy with the release of her superhero film Black Widow simultaneously on the Disney+ platform and theatres.

According to the documents and reports submitted, the lawsuit states, "Why would Disney forgo hundreds of millions of dollars in box office receipts by releasing the Picture in theaters at a time when it knew the theatrical market was ‘weak,' rather than waiting a few months for that market to recover?"

"On information and belief, the decision to do so was made at least in part because Disney saw the opportunity to promote its flagship subscription service using the Picture and Ms. Johansson, thereby attracting new paying monthly subscribers, retaining existing ones, and establishing Disney+ as a must-have service in an increasingly competitive marketplace."

One of the film stars from Marvel Studios Black Widow film OT Fagbenle shared his thoughts on the incident of Scarlett Johansson suing the media conglomerate Walt Disney.

He said, "I mean, honestly, I'm not the most informed on this thing, so I would love to talk with somebody to learn about it, I just don't know. Ultimately, I do believe that all workers should get paid fairly. And, to be honest, the workers I think about most are those who are on minimum wage, I think about those who are in, you know, working in the sweat shops that provide our clothes. That's really my main concern when I think about unfair labor."

The superhero blockbuster film Marvel Studios Black Widow is based on the fictional character of Black Widow who is an expert spy, tactician master martial artist, hand-to-hand combatant, expert marksman, and skilled hypnotist appearing in the American comic book publication known as Marvel Comics.
