After Hailey Bieber’s Call Her Daddy podcast interview where she clarified all the rumors about the relationship timeline with Justin Bieber and the bullying she had faced over the years from both Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez's fans, actress-singer Selena Gomez took to her TikTok Live to share her feelings about the online hate without mentioning the interview or anything related to what Hailey Bieber had said.
Selena declared that the hostility and some of the things she has seen online—some of which she is unaware of—are just abhorrent, unfair to everyone, and shouldn't be uttered to anyone. Selena Gomez once remarked that the only thing left to say is how ironic it is for her to record a song that is solely about encouraging words because that is precisely what she desires.
The Only Murders in the Building actress said that if the person watching her live supports her foundation, Rare, she cannot thank them enough but reminded them that they are also representing what Rare means and the fact that words matter, they truly matter. Selena Gomez also claimed that the hateful speech is not coming from her and reminded her fans that she only stands for kind words and they should too. She added that she hopes that the fans understand that this is much bigger than anything else, and she is grateful to everyone who heard her and wished her fans a wonderful day.
The message for her fans comes days after Hailey Bieber got candid about the way she has been bullied and continues to receive messages from both Selena Gomez’s and Justin Bieber’s fans for coming in between their relationship after their years-long on-again, off-again relationship. But Hailey Bieber clarified in her interview that she was never involved with Justin Bieber when he was with someone else and they only hooked up when he was single. Hailey said that she is not the kind of a person who would try to come in between two people adding that she is not interested in doing something like that and she was raised better than this.
During her podcast interview, Hailey Bieber also mentioned that after she and Justin Bieber got married in 2018, she reached out to Selena Gomez and there is nothing but respect between them and only love. The model stated that the stars could only move on with their lives if the public knew what they knew, what happened, and how they decided to handle the situation. She mentioned that the talk with Selena Gomez brought her so much peace and now she knows that all three of them can move forward in their lives. She also mentioned that the reason that she knew that the chapter of Justin and Selena (without mentioning her name) was closed forever is why she had faith in her relationship and Justin and Hailey got back together.
Even though Hailey Bieber mentioned that there is only love and respect between the singer-actress and herself, she did mention that the fans online from both Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber’s side have been cruel to her, which at one point did push her into a dark space and she would have thoughts like maybe she is not needed in the place anymore or something like that.
The host asked Hailey Bieber if she and Justin Bieber ever decided to reach out to Selena Gomez to ask her fans to not be so hateful towards the couple online, to which Hailey said that she does not owe her anything and what would she say to her anyway because Selena Gomez has been in the industry longer than Hailey and mentioned that maybe she just knows that whatever she says, it’s going to fix nothing. Hailey said that a lot of the hate from the fans comes from the fact that they wanted him to end up with someone else, which is fine, but now it’s not the case and even though they can wish, it’s not the truth.
A source shared with Hollywood Life that Justin Bieber could not be more proud of his wife right now as he knew and understood that doing the interview where she would have been talking about the most talked about rumor was not easy and it was not a decision that the model took lightly, but she knew that she had to speak up to put all the speculation to rest and move on with their lives.
Another insider shared that Justin has seen Hailey being harassed and attacked just for being with him and he has seen her cry so many times over it, but at the same time, the source said the singer has seen how resilient Hailey is and he is very proud to call her his wife and he does not know what he would have done without her.
