Shakira takes a dig at ex Gerard Pique's girlfriend Clara Chia Marti

Shakira revealed to journalist Enrique Acevedo of Canal Estrellas in a recent interview with the Mexican local television network NMás on Monday that she has realized that she can be self-sufficient and take care of the kids by herself.

The Hips Don't Lie singer shared during the interview that she has also found that she has always been quite emotionally dependent on men. Shakira admits that she has been in love with love and she believed that she managed to see this "cartoon" from a different perspective and feels that she is enough for herself today.

Shakira noted during the interview that women were at the center of the support she received after the couple revealed the end of their 12-year relationship. She said she has realized that women are at a key moment for society adding that they are at a point where the support that they can receive from each other is very relevant, it is very important. To describe that support, Shakira paraphrased a quote from the late former US Secretary of State, Madeleine Albright, and said that she has a phrase that she loves, which says ‘there is a place in hell reserved for those women who do not support others.’ And she completely agrees.

The singer said during the interview that when a woman is attacked by life, she grows stronger, and when a woman grows stronger, it is because they have learned to recognize their weaknesses, accept their vulnerability, and express their pain. She mentioned that expression is said to be the antithesis of depression. The Colombian singer went on to say that she managed to gain that strength by going through a disappointing loss, having to deal with it, admitting unhappiness, and realizing that life sometimes fails to give people what they're looking for. Shakira mentioned that there are broken dreams, and also that people are required to pick up a few minor pieces from the ground and reassemble themselves, as well as to be an instance to the children who are also part of the procedure.

Now Shakira feels she is complete because she feels that she depends on herself and that she also has two children that depend on her so she has to be stronger than a lioness. That strength, Shakira explained, comes from grieving and accepting that sometimes things don’t turn out the way you think. The singer said that she also had that dream of having a family in which the children had a father and a mother under the same roof. The singer stated that people should know that not all dreams that they have seen will come true, but life always finds a way to make it up to them in some way.

Shakira and Gerard Piqué officially confirmed their separation in a joint declaration in June 2022, and she later revealed that she and her children would relocate to Miami after reaching a settlement agreement with the athlete. Gerard Pique allegedly cheated on Shakira with his current girlfriend, Clara Chia Marti, with whom he awhile back became Instagram-official after Shakira dropped her latest breakup anthem, "BZRP Music Sessions, Vol. 53," which fans think follows the story of her and Gerard Piqué's 11-year relationship split.

Shakira sings in Spanish in her Friday release "TQG" collaboration with Karol G that she is now set all by herself. The lyrics of the song state that he is no longer welcome in her space, and she has observed what his girlfriend hurled at her, which doesn't infuriate her but causes her to laugh out loud. The Grammy winner teams up with Karol G, who ended her engagement to Anuel AA in 2021, in the chorus to inform their ex-partners' "new babies" that they do not "compete for men."

Shakira sings later in the song that when Gerard Piqué left her last year, she got "triple M," referencing herself as "much hotter, much tougher, much lighter."The "Hips Don't Lie" singer goes on to say that the ex-soccer player wants to get back together, which she would be an idiot to do adding that her life is even better without her ex having offended him. Shakira also accuses her ex of liking her pictures on social media.

Shakira feels mentally energized after her song with Argentine producer Bizarrap. She told the journalist that she thinks she would be in a very different spot if she hadn't written that song, which she describes as a possibility for her to communicate herself and think about pain. Shakira added that somebody ought to have taken a photo of the day she started working on Session 53 with Bizarrap, a before and after of her entering and exiting the studio. This is one of the things she understands most about Biza: offering her that space, that offers the chance to vent. It was a huge relief, but it was also necessary for her recovery and recuperation.

Shakira credited her recent collaboration, in part, to her 10-year-old son, Milan. The singer said it was a suggestion from Milan and explained that he told her that she had to do something with him since he is the Argentine god adding that it was thanks to her son that she got to know the producer’s work.

In October 2022, the Colombian pop star admitted that the transition to single parenthood had been "incredibly difficult" for her. She told Elle at the time that not only has it been difficult for her, but also for the children but said that they have a job to do for these two incredible boys, and she is confident that they will figure out what is best for their future, their life dreams, and what is a fair solution for everyone.
