Shawn Mendes opens up about his mental health.

Ahead of the premiere of his new movie, "Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile," Shawn Mendes spoke to Entertainment Tonight’s Rachel Smith about his mental health after he decided to cancel his Wonder World tour.

It doesn't feel like there is a lot of pressure with the movie, according to Shawn Mendes, who also said he wanted some time to "base" himself, spend time with his family and friends, and realize how wonderful it is that he gets to do what he does for a job.

The singer responded that he felt connected to Lyle's sensitivity and sensitivity in the movie and that he feels a lot of that in himself when asked what the movie taught him about art and showing oneself. He added that he thinks that vulnerability is kind of what gives other people the power to feel that they can also be vulnerable.

A young boy finds a singing crocodile in the attic of his family's new home in the children's book series Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile, which is the basis for the movie Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile. The musical reptile is voiced by Shawn Mendes, and the film also features a number of his original songs. He does not have a line in the movie but he sings. The makers said that after talking to Shawn Mendes they realized how much the character of Lyle is similar to that of the singer-songwriter. The producer of the movie Hutch Parker said while speaking to The Hollywood Reporter that Shawn Mendes was remarkable in the movie.

Shawn Mendes announced that he will skip the July dates of his Wonder World Tour to concentrate on his health. On his social media, Shawn sent a lengthy letter of apology and justification for the supporters. Three weeks had passed since he first disclosed his intention to postpone the tour for a few weeks in order to focus on his health. Shawn Mendes wrote in a lengthy article that although he had begun the tour eager to resume live performance after a protracted absence due to the pandemic, he was in no way prepared for how challenging touring would be after such a long absence.

Shawn Mendes continued that after talking with his team and working with an amazing group of health professionals, the need to take the time he has never chosen to take privately to ground himself and come back better has become more apparent, and he must, sadly, cancel the remaining tour dates in North America and the UK/Europe. The performer said, they are hopeful he might be able to take up with the rest of the dates after some much-needed downtime, but at this moment, he'll have to put his health as his priority, and this in no way means he won't be releasing new music.

Shawn concluded in his post that he knows that everyone has been waiting so long to see the shows and it breaks his heart to tell the fans that he needs to take the time off with a promise that he will be back soon. He thanked everyone for their support and love. The Wonder World tour began in Portland, Oregon, in June, and it ran through October in both the United States and Canada. It was planned for the European leg to start in May 2023.

Lyle, Lyle Crocodile opens exclusively in movie theatres on October 7.
