Jiah Khan's suicide, which occurred in 2013, rocked the Bollywood industry and resulted in the exposure of some of the industry's dirty secrets. In the early morning hours of June 3, 2013, the aspiring actress was discovered hanging from the ceiling of her residence. Her ex-boyfriend, Sooraj Pancholi, was charged with aiding and abetting suicide after his name was discovered in the suicide note that was discovered by the authorities. Since then, the actor has been spotted attending sessions in the courtroom.

CBI to probe the case from the beginning

Recently, Jiah Khan's death, which has been ongoing for eight years, was transferred from the Sessions Court to the Central Bureau of Investigation. After eight years, according to a story in The Times of India, the CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation) court will officially hear the case, which has been outstanding since 2007. The sessions court was in charge of Pancholi's trial at the time of writing. Pancholi was granted permission to transfer the matter to the CBI court by the sessions court.

"The Sessions Court's decision to move the case to the CBI court is a welcome step for my client Sooraj Pancholi," said Prashant Patil, Pancholi's lawyer. We have been submitting motions to expedite the trial and have the issue determined on the merits within six months of filing the motions. Our applications were immediately accepted. The trials were then postponed.”

ANI has already tweeted about the situation. The following was mentioned in the tweet: "Actor Jiah Khan death case: CBI court will now hear the case that has been languishing for 8 years." It has been recommended that the trial against her lover, actor Suraj Pancholi, be moved to a special CBI court.” The sessions court was currently holding a trial against him on counts of suspected abetment.

For those unfamiliar with the proceedings, the trial in the Jiah Khan death case began in early 2019. 7 days after Jiah's death, Pancholi was taken into custody on June 10, 2013. Sooraj was later granted bail, which was granted in July. The actor is being tried under the Indian Penal Code's Section 306 (abetment of suicide), which he has denied.

Updates from Rabia Amin

As a result of the death of Sushant Singh Rajput last year, Jiah Khan's case has received a new impetus. Jiah Khan's mother, Rabia Amin, had earlier posted a video in which she criticised Salman Khan for seeking to prevent the interrogation of Sooraj Pancholi and for serving as his cover during the inquiry.
