Actress Sydney Sweeney is taking a stand for actors and actresses when it comes to filming nude scenes.

Euphoria star Sydney Sweeney appeared on the cover story for Cosmopolitan recently, where she mentions that there are different outcomes for men and women in the industry who film a nude scene. Sydney Sweeney has filmed nude scenes for her characters Cassie and Pippa.

On asking about how does she feel about the nude scenes, she said, "I'm so disconnected from it. When I get tagged in Cassie's or Pippa from The Voyeurs' nudes, it feels like me looking at their nudes, not Sydney's nudes. When you film one of these scenes, it is so technical and so not romantic. There are people staring at you, there's pads between you, there are nipple covers and weird sticker thongs all up in your butt."

Sydney who starred in the thriller, 'The Voyeurs', shared that the first time she filmed a nude for the movie she wondered if she had done too much. She said, "I researched celebrities who have done nude scenes, trying to make myself feel better. There are hour-long compilations of world-famous male actors with nude scenes who win Oscars and get praised for that work. But the moment a woman does it, it degrades them. They're not actresses. They just take off their tops so they can get a role. There's such a double standard and I really hope I can have a little part in changing that."

In an interview with The Independent, Sydney shared that in season two for Euphoria, “there are moments where Cassie was supposed to be shirtless and I would tell Sam, 'I don't really think that's necessary here.' He was like, 'OK, we don't need it.' I've never felt like Sam has pushed it on me or was trying to get a nude scene into an HBO show. When I didn't want to do it, he didn't make me.” The actress also spoke about the environment on the sets of Euphoria that has made her comfortable and secure, unlike some others; "I've had experiences where I want to go home and scrub myself completely raw because I feel disgusting. I didn't feel comfortable with my castmate or the crew, and I just didn't feel like my character would be doing it. That made me even more self-conscious. I didn't feel like I was able to speak up."

Sydney was asked if there are any roles in her past that she looked back and cringe to which the actress replied, “Anything before Everything Sucks! and Sharp Objects. I pretend that was a whole different person—I have blocked out so much of that time, of my high school life. Going to school in L.A. was so different from back home in Spokane. People’s values were on a whole different level.”

The actress who recently has been talk of the town for her character portrayal as Cassie in Euphoria also shared her thoughts on how does she feel about her fans thinking that they have a real relationship with her. Sydney replied, “Sometimes I feel guilty about it. I would love to share my normal life so that people can see that it’s not all glamour. But I can’t because one, I like my privacy, and two, social media is another platform for business. Sharing my life on it could go against the integrity of the business and brand I’m trying to create.” Adding further, “I have this formula that I try to follow. I’ll post about my work, I’ll post about fashion because when the hell else would I look that good? And then I try to sprinkle in a Syd post once in a while.”

A few months ago, Sydney Sweeney went live on her Instagram where she broke down while explaining to her fans that some of the comments from them really do have an impact on her. She mentioned that she already had a bad and hard day that day and when she went online she read a couple of tweets from fans about her appearance and in the middle of breaking down she went live to share how she felt with her fans. Sydney added, “People were like, “Oh, she’s just looking for attention.” People literally kill themselves over stuff like this. And people just don’t give a fuck. I went on for, like, maybe 12 seconds. I did not think anyone was going to record it. I just needed to let it out. Then it just went everywhere and it became its own beast. It’s something people deal with on a daily basis. Am I embarrassed? Of course. I still don’t think everyone is going to see what I do.”

Further in the interview, Sydney Sweeney shared that she likes to date people who are not in the entertainment industry because that makes it easy for her to be herself. “I don’t date actors or musicians or anyone in entertainment because I can just be normal Syd that way and it’s easiest. I have a great support system. I have people who will battle for me and allow me to be on the pedestal and shine without making me feel like, Oh no, I’m shining too bright and I need to step back,” the actress added.

Talking about the kind of partner she looks for she said, “I look for a best friend. I need to be able to be with someone who I can literally hang out with 24/7 and never get sick of and we laugh every single day.” The actress who is in the process of launching her own production company and take a hold of her own career, Sydney Sweeney is working on turning a murder mystery book into HBO Max series titled, ‘The Players Table’, starring herself and her best friend Halsey. Talking about her involvement with Fifty-Fifty Films, she said, “One, how many steps it takes to get something made. There are so many hurdles and passageways and people. Two, as much as people in the industry say they support young female voices, I’m still having to fight, even among older women. I was told that I couldn’t get the credit I believed I deserved, and I couldn’t get my company’s name on a project I was developing. I have my theories why. Maybe they feel like we’re getting it too easy. I was told I have to do multiple things before I can get a credit like that, as if I didn’t deserve it. And that came from women. I found that very surprising. Everyone puts on the charade that we’re supporting each other, but I have not felt that fully yet.”

Sydney in her interview with The Independent got candid about the praise she got for some of her work over the others, “With The White Lotus, I felt like people were finally recognizing the hard work I've been doing. This is something that has bothered me for a while. I'm very proud of my work in Euphoria. I thought it was a great performance. But no one talks about it because I got naked. I do The White Lotus and all of a sudden critics are paying attention. I was like, 'Did you not see that in Euphoria? Did you not see that in The Handmaid's Tale?' "
