All the babysitters out there, you have some great representation going on in the cinematic world! The Baby-Sitters Club is back to business since this fall, and the show has returned with some pretty great moments.

With the heart-melting portrayal of young friendship and some seriously good side business, The BSC club has all their priorities set up straight. The first episode carries in nicely after Kristy Thomas, a no-bullshit person who would boss you around for all the right reasons. President of The Baby-Sitters Club, Kristy is always right down to business, ambitious to say the least, and immensely strong-headed when things concern her friends.

The BSC Group is having an excellent time running their club in the summer while things shift around them. Kristy is subjected to a bit of change in the family dynamics as her mother marries Watson Brewer ( a cool dad? ), we don't know but he's definitely hot. It's taking Ms. President a bit of time to adjust to the changes. But apart from the familial changes, Kristy is looking for some personal development, too.

While the Thomas Boys will be shifting places to Brewer mansion on the other side of Stoneybrook, Kristy doesn't so much like the idea. More at ease with her friends from the club, Mary Anne and Claudia, Kristy needs them with her as she is struggling through the death of her dog, who had to be put down. David Michael, Kristy's brother, is taking the loss pretty badly, too. To add to her misery, Stacey drops by their house, not to be with Kristy, but because Sam Thomas wanted to.

Things get a bit rougher for the kiddo when Amanda Delaney comes barging in their house delivering hand-written invitations from her mom. She's asked over Kristy and her mom for tea with Amanda and her mother. The meeting turns into a fiasco as Kristy messes up bath towels with beach towels, and Amanda roasts her for it, dragging along the entire state of New Jersey while she rants. The girl is a little too hard on Kristy.

Kristy and mom, Elizabeth Thomas-Brewer, harden up for a tough time at Amanda's as they head over for tea. Of course, they have a hard time with Mrs. Delaney constantly vying to impress everyone but being not all that impressive. Kristy definitely is not the person to stand at a place unwelcome, much like her mother. They try to be friendly because they are neighbors, after all. Yet the disagreeable lady continues to insult Liz as she mocks her for having a job while she has 'won the lottery' by marrying Watson.

But Kristy has a great person to confide in, Watson- her step-dad even if she doesn't know it yet. He finds Kristy missing Louie, her dog, as she is in the kitchen for a late-night snack and concedes that he will be forever there for her to talk. She isn't much appreciative of the fact as Watson also says that he would be there for her even if she doesn't want to talk while they sit in silence enjoying a midnight snack. But of course, the kid will find that she lucked out and made it big where her good-old step-dad is concerned. He sees Kristy as a full person even though she is but a child so that she can mourn her dog, make peace with the new place and come around.

The things turn a bit bizarre as Mrs. Shanon Delaney calls The Baby-Sitters Club for Amanda, who might not be in need of a sitter as she is practically the same age as Kristy. Dawn sees it as it is and imparts her wisdom on the matter, saying, "the rich are different from you and me." Kristy is the only one free to take the post and has to head to the house of the enemies.

Amanda is a child, after all, and Kristy finds ways to soften her up. She takes her to her home, where they talk with David Michael about dogs. He is still pretty beat up about Louie, but the two find familiar ground as they bond over animals. Amanda finds she is better acquainted with topics about animals than with humans. As Amanda concedes her mother ringing up the club meant hiring a friend for her rather than a babysitter, Kristy understood where she was coming from. The poor child is all alone.

This has Kristy looking a little deeper into her own family as she realizes that there is more under the surface than meets the eye. She realizes her mother must be feeling alone, too. While she has the Brewers now, they are a new addition. Owing to the lottery talk with Mrs. Delaney, she might feel that she doesn't deserve her newfound happiness.

Things take a new turn when Mrs. Delaney invites Liz again, this time for a charity event. Liz is reluctant, of course, sensing ulterior motives from the snobby lady but ultimately decides to attend. They soon learn that the charity event is a pet adoption event, and Mrs. Delaney considered inviting the Thomas-Brewers as she learned about the conversation between Amanda and David Michael, and their lost pet, Louie.

Things get a bit weird when David Michael picks a dog and, touched by Mrs. Delaney's kindness, asks her first name - so that he can name his dog. She tells it is Shannon, which now David Michael uses to name his dog - in honor of Mrs. Shannon Delaney. While Mrs. Delaney might not show that this unhinged her, the idea isn't much great for naming dogs.

Still, Kristy learns that if she wants to fit in, especially now that she has a new family, putting effort is always due. The brilliant young lady puts on a brave face and struts as she belongs, which oddly helps actually feel that she belongs. Kristy might not know it, but the strategy would come in handy later in life, too, specifically in high school, when all one wants to fit in.

What are the other Baby-Sitters up to?

Mary Anne and Logan had a good time at camp. They kissed - three times! The problem is she doesn't hear from him after the camp. A typical man move. Dawn tells her to resort to astrology because star charts could help, which doesn't help much apart from revealing that Mary Anne is a triple Virgo. Claudia and Stacey form a girl FBI group to help their BSC mate to stalk Logan on Insta.

They created an account for Mary Anne, @SewlongMarianne, that features her love for knitting and taking the rest from the Leonard Cohen song. The kids are next level, without a doubt, yet end up getting duped by a teacup pig: Yup, the life of the modern teenagers. Ms. President goes ahead with her idea of a pool party as she suggested all along and invites Logan and Mary Anne to the party.

Logan, for his part, isn't brilliant. Of course, he ghosted Mary Anne. But to add to that, he readily hands out his personal information to a representative of the census bureau. Who could it be other than the girl FBI head, Dawn?

Well, stay tuned for more on The Baby-Sitters Club!
