In 2004, Jesse James Palmer, a Canadian television personality, sports commentator, actor, and former professional football quarterback in the National Football League, was featured in season five of "The Bachelor." After Chris Harrison's departure, it was announced that the Bachelor alum will host the new season of "The Bachelor."

Chris Harrison, who has been with the show since the beginning, departed after defending Georgia contestant Rachael Kirkconnell, who was caught attending an Antebellum plantation-themed party in 2018.

According to People, the television personality is now married, having married model Emely Fardo in an intimate wedding on June 5, 2020, after nearly a year of dating. The private wedding took place in Connecticut at the home of a close friend. In 2017, the couple began dating and was engaged in 2019.

Jesse and Emely had planned to marry in France, but the wedding had to be postponed owing to the epidemic, so the couple decided on a simple, intimate ceremony at a friend's home. People Magazine reported the news, and the couple told the publication, "We were only able to invite a small group of close friends that live in the greater N.Y.C. area, and that were in quarantine at the time. We had a lovely afternoon and look forward to celebrating our love with our parents and immediate families all together soon!”

Although the couple did not formally proclaim their marriage in June 20200, Emely Fardo was seen wearing wedding rings in several of her Instagram photos. The couple's wedding was revealed when Emely, who had changed her name on social media, used Jesse's last name and the hashtag husband in a recent photo to wish Jesse a Happy Anniversary.

"Happy anniversary to us!! I love you more than I love cheeseburgers!" she wrote in June.  Talking about the ladylove, Jesse said, "I've been so enamored, so in love with this woman, and it only has grown. I'm head over heels for her.”

Jesse Palmer ended season five of 'The Bachelor' with Jessica Bowlin, but the couple broke up a month later. Jesse has previously hosted shows such as The Ultimate Surfer and The Proposal, but the new season of ‘The Bachelor' comes with a duty following the departure of Chris Harrison, the show's first presenter.

“For more than 20 years, The Bachelor has brought the world dozens of unforgettable love stories, including at one time, my own. Falling in love is one of life’s greatest gifts, and I am humbled by the opportunity to return to the show as host this season to offer the newest Bachelor advice gained from firsthand experience, and I am grateful to play a small part in his journey”, Jesse said in a statement.

Despite the fact that the ESPN sports commentator has only signed on to serve as the host of ‘The Bachelor' for one season, the producers are trying to hire him as a full-time host for future seasons of ‘The Bachelor' and ‘The Bachelorette,' according to a source. As new Bachelor Clayton Echard searches for love on the dating reality show, Jesse will serve as the host.
