After releasing the first official teaser of the upcoming superhero film The Batman, Warner Bros. Pictures has now unveiled a brand new TV spot, while there are no new shots featured in the one-minute short TV spot but it definitely hypes the fans for the long-awaited face-off that will be seen in the film between the Dark Knight and Edward Nashton also known as The Riddler.

While the Batman film was first announced in 2014 by the Warner Bros. Studios with the 49-year-old actor Ben Affleck playing the role of Batman with directing, producing, and co-writing it, the actor previously also starred in the role of the fan-favorite Batman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice released in 2016, Suicide Squad released in 2016, but later on, Affleck stepped down from the role of the Caped Crusader in 2017 after the release of Justice League because of creative differences with the studio. Robert Pattinson eventually replaced Affleck as the Batman in 2019 with Matt Reeves as the director for the film.

The film will take place in the early years of Bruce Wayne's becoming the Batman where he is in a big mess and is just figuring out how to be the best version of the masked vigilante, director Reeves revealed when asked what is it that the fans could expect from billionaire socialite and the owner of Wayne Enterprises this time in live-action. "It's about the early days of him being Batman and he's very far from being perfect, one of the things that are interesting is learning how to be Batman. It's a criminological experiment."

He added that Batman is struggling to figure out his best version of Batman as he is just in his early days of becoming the vigilante and there is a lot that's going on in Gotham City that he has to find out who is doing it and what is the purpose behind it. "He's trying to figure out what he can do to change this place. He's seeing he's not having any of the effect he wants to have. That's when the murders start to happen ... and it opens up a whole new world of corruption. Without being an origin tale, it ends up touching on his origins," he added.

Reeves continues by saying that the movie has everything that a superhero fan wants such as action, mystery, and a detective story. "It's a detective story, a mystery, it's got, of course, action, and it's incredibly personal for him. He's kind of a growing legend and [criminals] are afraid of him. He's not a symbol of hope yet. One of the things he has to deal with is how he's perceived ... What was exciting for me was not doing the origin [story] but to meet him in the middle and to see him make mistakes and grow and fail and be heroic in a way that felt very human and very flawed," he further added.

With distribution by Warner Bros. Pictures and production by DC Films, Robert Pattinson joins the sprawling cast list along with Zoë Kravitz as Selina Kyle / Catwoman, Paul Dano as Edward Nashton also known as Riddler, John Turturro as Carmine Falcone, Peter Sarsgaard as Gil Colson, Barry Keoghan as Stanley Merkel, Jayme Lawson as Bella Reál, Colin Farrell as Oswald "Oz" Cobblepot also known as Penguin, Alex Ferns as Commissioner Pete Savage and Con O'Neill has been cast in an unknown role. The Batman is set to arrive in theatres on 4th March 2022.
