Netflix has finally rolled out a very useful feature that allows people to see what the Top 10 shows and movies are on the streaming site. 

Thinking of watching a new show or a film every once in a while can be exhausting, especially when there are so many options available. Yet, The Top 10 feature will narrow down the options to an agreeable number and still provide plenty of options to choose from your preferred genre. 

What's more, being in the top 10, you will also be guaranteed that your watching experience will be worth it and that you will have a good time. Here are some of the Top 10 shows running in the US on Netflix that you can watch this month in May. 

Forrest Gump

The film is directed by Director Robert Zemeckis and features Eric Roth as the writer. The cast includes Tom Hanks, Robin Wright, Gary Sinise, Mykelti Williamson, and Sally Field, and the film was released in 1994. The genre of the film is comedy-drama. 

The Oscar-winning film starring Tom Hanks is about the character who talks about his intelligence while waiting at a bus station. Talking with the stranger, he talks about his sub-normal IQ but is living a very content life with not much to ask for. 

The character goes on to teach Elvis Presley how to dance, scores extremely well when playing football, hence becoming a celebrity, and gets to meet John F. Kennedy. He also receives distinction for his time served in Vietnam, gets to meet Lyndon Johnson, and also speaks his heart out at an anti-war rally held at the Washington Monument. 

His adventures continue on to where he gets to meet Yippies and become an international table tennis champion after defeating China. Not only does he also meet Richard Nixon but also learns about a break-in at Watergate and does many other extremely magnificent things. 

The film also shows that through all this, Forrest remembers the girl he loved when he was young. 

U.S. Marshal

The film is helmed by Stuart Baird and written by Roy Huggins and John Pogue. The film stars Wesley Snipes and Tommy Lee Jones in the lead roles and also includes Robert Downey Jr., Joe Pantoliano, Kate Nelligan, and Irène Jacob. The action crime thriller was released in 1998.

The film is about a US Marshal named Sam Gerard. The Marshal and his team are tasked to find a prisoner that escaped after the plane crash that helped a few prisoners to evade the jail.

365 Days: This Day

Directed by Barbara Bialowas and Tomasz Mandes, 365 Days: This Day stars Anna-Maria Sieklucka, Michele Morrone, and Bronisław Wrocławski. the film also stars Otar Saralidze, Magdalena Lamparska, and Natasza Urbańska. Written by Tomasz Klimala, Barbara Białowąs, Tomasz Mandes, and Blanka Lipińska, the film was released in 2022 and is an erotic thriller. 

The film is about the two lead characters, Laura and Massimo, who are back together and thicker than ever. Yet, things once again turn bad for them when the past life of the reunited couple comes to haunt them. 

The family ties of Massimo go way back and cover a terrible secret. Similarly, Laura is being wooed by a mysterious man who has decided to do just about anything to win over the lady and spares no cost when it comes to it. 

The Mystery of Marilyn Monroe: The Unheard Tapes

The Netflix production is directed by Emma Cooper and came to the streaming service this year. The documentary is about the life and death of the legendary actress Marilyn Monroe. The documentary shows the extent of rumors and conspiracy theories that followed her decades after her passing. 

The rumors were a blow to her amazing career, but the documentary has now come to set things right. It is based on the information collected from her finals days and weeks and is paired with recordings of people who met her and had a peek into her life of glitz and glam. The documentary is an attempt at an ode to her career and redefines how people see her death. 

Rambo

Directed by and starring Sylvester Stallone, the action film was released in 2008 and included Julie Benz, Paul Schulze, Matthew Marsden, Graham McTavish, Rey Gallegos, Tim Kang, Jake La Botz, Maung Maung Khin, and Ken Howard.

The action film took place in Thailand where a group of Christian aid workers had to head across the Salween river with the help of John Rambo and deliver medical supplies. The war-torn area falls across the land of the Karen tribe in Burma and when the missionaries don't return, Rambo has to take up the mission with the help of some mercenaries. 

The story focuses on his journey as he treks through the dangerous area and tries delivering the medicines while hell rains on them from all sides.
