While Speaking in a recently held interview with The Direct, Ryan and Kaz Firpo, who led Marvel Studios The Eternals alongside the director Chloe Zhao as producers addressed the possibility of taking the Marvel Cinematic Universe to next level with the arrival of Galactus in the franchise with The Eternals 2, even though it sounds crazy and nothing more than a fan theory, it is quite possible that the sequel of the superhero epic could finally mean the debut of God-like being only after the studio decides to go with the sequel which itself as of now seems unclear seeing the poor response the blockbuster has received from the critics and fans, because the first film has already introduced the fans to beings like Celestials, which seemed impossible a few years ago but the studio was able to pull it out.

“Galactus is an amazing, amazing character, and villain. We are, you know, obviously setting the stage for intergalactic, cosmic, megalith confrontations, especially when you kill a space god—and then the space god comes and kidnaps you and plans to judge Earth, I think the door is very much open for world-eating villains,” Kaz Firpo told The Direct, explaining how the introduction of Celestials has already pretty much set the stage to introduce someone like Galactus, who is an intergalactic being capable of destroying multiple worlds at once as seen over the years in his comic version.

The Marvel writer adds, describing one of the most popular and powerful world-eating supervillains in the comics Galactus as someone who the fans are dying to see in the MCU after what they saw in Avengers Infinity War and Avengers Endgame, where the Mad Titan Thanos was wreaking havoc on the earth’s mightiest superhero squad Avengers. “There’s definitely conversations about these post-credits sequences, about who we’re introducing, where we’re going… Galactus is one of those iconic figures of the Marvel Universe that we’re excited to see. But sometimes I think you leave yourself open, you leave these doors open, and who knows what’s happening in number two. Maybe you’re too busy saving a Celestial from Galactus that you end up incurring his [wrath]… anything’s possible.”

At last, Kaz says if the fans really want something like this he is ready to explore it in the sequel. “You know we don’t know where we’re going to go in number 2 yet, but if audiences want to see it, we’re excited to explore it.”

Since there is a big question mark on the first place that if the sequel is really going to receive the green light from Marvel Studios so, there is nothing much to comment about whether it will indeed feature Galactus, that is something that the time is going to reveal but seeing the huge demand by the fans to have the world eating giant in a massive project like that of Avengers Endgame ever since Disney was able to get its hand on the character after the deal between the company with Fox Studios took place along with other characters like X-Men and Fantastic Four could mean anything in future.
