Despite Marvel Studios latest superhero epic The Eternals based on the Marvel Comics superhero team by the same name Eternals, receiving poor response and reviews from critics, the audiences seem to like it more as the blockbuster has become the second highest-earning film at the box office after theatres opened up following the devasting impact of Coronavirus Pandemic around the world.

Matthew 'Kaz' Firpo and Ryan Firpo, who serve as the writer of Eternals, appeared at a recent interview with The Hollywood reporter, where the duo spoke about the possibility of spin-off series to Eternals, where each of the characters introduced in the movie could be explored more. Kaz emphasized that the series could be based on a structure in which every episode from each character of the superhero team gets his own story in a different timeline or maybe even universe.

"We’ve even said jokingly that there should be an Eternals prequel show on Disney+. Go back and do a Kingo episode in 1890s Mumbai where he is juggling his life as a movie star, dealing with Gandhi’s peaceful dissolution of the British empire in India. And there’s an episode with Thena where she’s in Greece. I would love to make that show. There are a lot of opportunities. If the audiences allow us, there’s going to be a story to tell with Dane Whitman. There’s going to be a story to tell in the Cosmos with the Eternals confronting Arishem and all the Celestials who are these incredible metaphors for creation. I think there’s a lot of stories in the Eternals universe," Kaz told THR, addressing the possibility of the film getting a spin-off show.

While there is no confirmation that points out that what the writer is suggesting could very well happen in the future but seeing the poor response from the critics suggests otherwise.

"It's not something that is a must-have, we have ideas of where we could go, but there isn't a hard and fast rule where we have to have three of these things and this is the first,” Moore previously said while speaking with The Toronto Sun, revealing if the superhero fans could expect a sequel to The Eternals. “I think the Infinity Stones fell into our lap and really helped connect things in ways that felt unexpected and earned," Moore explained. "If you just watch Eternals, you can enjoy Eternals, you can understand Eternals and you're good to go."

"We felt like there was enough story that it could be a contained universe," Moore adds, further explaining that while are the ideas on how things can move forward in the movie are being discussed but it is something that the fans will have to wait for. "We definitely have ideas of how things can cross over later. But this movie, with 10 characters and Dane Whitman and the Celestials and the Deviants, there was enough for us to play with."

With Nate Moore as the film producer and Matthew 'Kaz' Firpo and Ryan Firpo, as the film writers, Marvel Studios’ produced and The Walt Disney Studios Pictures distributed The Eternals featured the most diverse cast which includes Salma Hayek in the role of Ajak, Angelina Jolie in the role of Thena, Kumail Nanjiani in the role of Kingo, Brian Tyree Henry in the role of Phastos, Richard Madden in the role of Ikaris, Gemma Chan in the role of Sersi, Lauren Ridloff in the role of Makkari, Lia McHugh in the role of Sprite, Kumail Nanjiani in the role of Kingo, Barry Keoghan in the role of Druig, Don Lee in the role of Gilgamesh, Kit Harington in the role of Dane Whitman with additional actors such as Harish Patel, Haaz Steiman as Phastos' husband, Ozer Ercan as a smuggler and Zain Al Rafeea in an unknown role.
