The Jennifer Hudson Show is coming this fall.
Jennifer Hudson, the most recent recipient who completed her EGOT after her show 'A Strange Loop' won Best Musical at Tony Awards 2022 (She was the producer on the show). She recently offered the audience a little preview of her upcoming daytime chat program, The Jennifer Hudson Show and claims in the video that because she is still alive and has had a long life, it is time to relax and have fun because she wants to chat with someone.
Nothing makes the former American Idol contestant happier than to watch everyone shine and recognize their inner light, and at The Jennifer Hudson Show, attendees will experience that. Jennifer Hudson added that her show is going to give the audience equality, honesty, all of her heart, and fun. She concluded that there was going to be a lot of fun.
Jennifer Hudson shared a poster of the show with a caption that she could not believe that she gets to say this but welcome to her show and added that let’s light up the daytime beginning September 12th. Jennifer Hudson also revealed that September 12th is also her birthday.
The Jennifer Hudson Show is all set to premiere on Fox TV in September and will go into national syndication after being approved in more than 95% of countries. The talented team behind The Ellen DeGeneres Show including of Mary Connelly, Andy Lassner, and Corey Palent, are going to serve as the showrunners along with being the executive producers of the program. The show's executive producers will also include Jennifer Hudson, Lisa Kasteler Calio, Graehme Morphy, and Walter Williams III. Shani Black will work as the show's co-executive producer. Everybody is really excited to start working on the show.
In a statement, Mike Darnell, president of Warner Bros. Unscripted Television, said that after nine years of collaboration on various projects with Mary Connelly, Andy Lassner, and Corey Palent, they are now thrilled that they can continue to work with the trio because they are truly the best in the business and excellent at what they do. The statement from Mike continued, which mentioned that with Jennifer Hudson’s incredible talent and the addition of Lisa Kasteler Calio, Graehme Morphy, and Walter Williams III, along with Shani Black for the producing team, they just know that the daytime talk show is going to be fantastic and everybody is excited to see what comes in the future. Mike shared with Variety previously that he met Jennifer Hudson when she was on American Idol and she was someone who showcased that she was funny, authentic, down to earth and easy going which makes her a perfect candidate to host a daytime talk show. When Ellen DeGeneres concluded the run of her show after 19 long years, it was reported that Jennifer Hudson was pitching The Jennifer Hudson Show as a replacement. The Ellen DeGeneres Show is not replaced by The Jennifer Hudson Show, but according to sources, the talk show will be recorded in the same studio on the Warner Bros. lot as Ellen, but with a completely different setup. The Kelly Clarkson Show will replace The Ellen DeGeneres Show in the autumn.
Back in January, Jennifer Hudson shared with Entertainment Tonight that she would love to do a daytime talk show since it’s going to be a whole new interesting thing or world to walk into. Recently, Jennifer Hudson completed her EGOT by winning Best Musical for A Strange Loop at the Tony Awards 2022, as she was the producer of the show. She became the 17th person in history to achieve an EGOT (the people who have won an Emmy, GRAMMY, Oscar, and Tony).
Reacting to that, Jennifer Hudson shared that she is overwhelmed by the outpouring of the love and support that she has received and is still receiving and she is trying to process this whole new ground. She thanked everyone for being on this journey with her and added that she could not have done it without the love and support.
